View Full Version : Steelers Lose CB Cory Trice for Season

Steelers cornerback Cory Trice Jr. was carted off the field at training camp after a run play that left him down in a heap. Now they have placed him on injured reserve, ending his season before it even started.

On the play, Cory Trice came in to fill the gap on an outside zone run. He went low to make the tackle and had multiple players fall on his legs, causing him to go down. Trice did not put much weight on his leg and was helped off by trainers. He was carted off in the back of the cart and left the field to go the locker room. Mike Tomlin described the injury as a non contact injury.

Damn. Well, this is the reason why he fell so far in the draft, injury prone. Hope he heals up, he was one of the guys I was most excited to hear about in training camp

So a bunch of people fell into and onto him but it’s non contact?

That’s odd. Unless he rips the knee coming into position and then people fall into him.

The worst part will be how everyone will bank on him next year as an upgrade to the position and we haven’t seen anything from him yet…ala Justin Layne, Senquez Golson and whomever else I am forgetting…

Sorry, just a running joke I have had with my 'kids' for 20+ years. Probably only funny on my side. The article says, "intriguing new duty". (Duty/Doodie)potty humor.
