profootballnetwork combines 70 scouting lists to create an overall picture of player rankings.

Broderick Jones:14 ranking - went 14
Porter: 12 ranking - went 32
Benton: 60 ranking - went 49
Darnell Washington : 31 ranking - went 93
Herbig: 91 ranking - went 132

There’s never been a draft to my knowledge where the Steelers got such positive value of rank versus draft choice selection. Not a single legitimate true reach. In fact only Benton was lucked before his ranking. And only 11 spots. Rule of my thumb. First round isn’t a reach if within ten, second round within 20. Third - 30 (I.e. : generally back half and front half of round 4 could be interchangeable) as so on.

I like pro football network as they take 70 big boards and compile a list and update it regularly as various big boards are updated.

side note: B Young was ranked 2 overall not 1. Stroud 4.
