Has this offseason really been any better or worse than usual for filling holes pre-draft?

I will give us a B+ grade.

In my mind, if we get a good value/quality Offensive tackle, Defensive Lineman and Cornerback in the first two rounds I will consider the offseason a "success".

Perhaps we can even afford a few luxury BPA picks?

thoughts?

There’s still a week left to cook. Let’s see.

To add the talent we did to a 9 win team and really only lose one better than par starter PLUS having 3 picks in the top 49 — I’m giving it an A. If they find a star in just one of those three picks, it goes to an A+.

Sutton and Edmunds were both pretty solid starters. Can Kazee and Neal full the gaps? Does Peterson got the legs left?
C too many unknowns

Roberts and Holcomb surely have to be better than Bush and Spilane?
B

Another off season churning the Online, way better than just accepting mediocre play, but will they be better ?
B

Armon Watts could be a real dark horse who knows?

A lot of possible reclaimamation guys signed, but what I really like is Khan willing to turn over the roster.

Previously Spilane is just the kind of guy Colbert let's hang on way past the time.

I have no idea if the FA replacements can be as good.

Overall. B but if some of them shine it could easily be A-

I think your take is fair.

the Holcomb signing is key. But you are saying Roberts and Holcomb for Spillane/Bush and Jack. So that gets a lot closer to a saw off. But I think better too. Especially when the dollars are considered. The extra money saved allowed greater depth on the Oline. That’s much better.

it all works together. Dollars spent seem to be better.

I’d suggest things are a B minus overall. Wormley was good. And Sutton was more than good. But not spending the cash he got helps. Is he worth it? Suttons play last year proved he earned it. Is Peterson worth it. Heck ya. But would Edmunds have been worth a million? Heck ya. So…

it boils down to the Jazee and Neal tandem. And Holcomb. Holcomb is the key acquisition in my mind.

Right now I give it a solid B. I wanted Sutton and Edmunds back. At least one of the two.

IF Omar hits a home run with three picks in the Top 50 than I move it to a solid A.
