Yessir.

They are less than the sum of their parts.

I am convinced that this team took a severe hit when they lost WR coach Drake. This team's wide receivers have not performed up to talent level from the time he left us(God rest his soul).

There has been a very noticeable drop in the performance and on-field awareness of how to play the position.

All of what you say was crystal clear in todays game. Dropped passes. Routes not being run properly, on-field awareness just not there.

There’s a LOT of issues with coaching on this team…

Watching Claypool lollygag his route on 4th and 10 was all I needed to see. Romo clearly said what we all saw, "If Claypool just runs hard and finishes his route it's a 1st down".

I don't want players like that on this team.

I'm honestly wondering if they should throw Boykin in there and see what he has. I'm tired of Claypool losing every combat catch scenario and drop passes that hit him in the hands that effectively kill drives.

Boykin or Sims, they both would be better.

Claypool is beginning to remind me of "Leon" from the old Budweiser commercials.

That's not what Romo said or meant. Claypool got immediate separation. But he continued running up the field at an angle, when he needed to flatten his route and come more across the field to keep the separation and make an easy throw for his quarterback. He didn't lollygag on the play. It was a lack of understanding route running. Either he is being coached on how to handle those situations and he has brain farts on the field in the heat of action.....or he isn't being coached properly on the nuances of playing the position. Remember, he had only played organized football for a few years and still had a lot to learn when he got to the Steelers.

If he is being coached properly, then it's on him and needs to clean that up or it's time to move on.

If these guys are not getting all the proper coaching, then that is a huge problem at the coaching level and that coach needs to go. If Tomlin isn't seeing it, then he needs to be held accountable for not correcting the problem at the head coach level.

I'm not 100% sure which it is or if it is a combination of the two, but I have noticed a huge dip in play by the WR group as a whole in all aspects of WR play in recent years.

OL is/was a bigger concern than WR.

Not at those spots in the draft. Reaching would not have been good.
