The Steelers are early 14 point favorites over the Brownies. Seems like a big spread without seeing Big Ben in action. Not a betting man, but those kind of lines make me nervous. I hope over confidence doesn't creep in.

Nay - we tend to play down to the level of our competition. We rarely blow out teams we should blow out.

That is conservative even if the Browns score. However, anything more than run, run, pass by the Steelers will be a plus.

It's only 2 TD's... Seems a little low to me... Remember we won 38-13 against Tampa and they are surely better..

I dont like any 2 score spreads in the nfl.

You'd have to be an idiot to give up 14 on any NFL bet.

Having said that, I'm all over this one, even giving up 14.

Colt McCoy vs Ben Roethlisberger.. Yea, 14 seems a little low to me.

Well, all the 'experts' expected the Steelers to finish 3rd in the division w/o #7. Now all the 'experts' are saying they're one of the best teams in the AFC. Sounds like the kiss of death to me. lol

We should never underestimate any team when we do we seem to loose. We need to go into Sunday with our game face on and play Steeler football.

The way our team has played w/o Ben should say something. Now that we have Ben back and the way the Brown stains have played thus far, you would think that we would blow them out.

We should win by 14+

Fourteen points is a huge spread in the NFL....no matter what.

It only seems that way to Ravens fans. They've just become accustomed to the very narrow spread between Flacco's eyebrows.

Teams have been scratching out wins against this Browns team... If we win by 14 or more points it will make a statement in a way.

i dont see a 14 point victory, BUT they can always go out and prove me wrong!

I agree. I'd put it more like 7 1/2.

Problem with that line is they're tring to get brownie bets, so they start the week with a high number. It will probably go down as the week goes on.

To be honest, 14 points may just be right. Overconfidence does no one any good. I prefer to err on the side of caution.

I hate being favored by that much. It seems the larger the point spread, the worse the play.

the brownies lost all 4 of their games by a total of 22 points against pretty decent teams. this is the NFL. NO GAME should EVER be favored by more than 7. plus its a divisional game. they better not be on their high horses. with all the love we have been getting lately, this is the perfect example of a trap game.

This game shouldn't be a trap game especially coming off the bye week.

We can only hope they are prepared and hungry. I still think the whole team has something to prove and now all the pieces to the puzzle are coming together. With that said I don't like the spread either. I am anxious every game if it is the Brownies or the Ratbirds I am always a bit nervous untill the final seconds run off the clock and our number is bigger then theirs on the scoreboard..

i hope its not, but the extra downtime and lots of media saying we are the #1 ranked team right now, it could be if they watch too much TV

I knew it would be close at the end. If we don't get that turnover... well it don't matter now.

congrats!

Seeing that the browns defense has been playing pretty good all year I was pleased that we put up 28 on em even though Ben was a little rusty...
