Super Bowl XLIII for me. Luckily, my name came up in the Steelers lottery of Super Bowl tickets.
XL. Saw Hines Ward catch Antwan Randle El’s pass. Rolling Stones halftime show.

I really thought about the 2010 Superbowl and almost pulled the trigger but it was just too damn expensive to justify.

Nope. Way too expensive for my blood. I go where the piss line is short, and beer/whiskey affordable. Plus I actually can watch the game and listen to music I like at halftime.

LOL Pretty much. House parties, private bar parties, etc.etc.. SB's way too over priced for what it's worth. I actually think I wouldn't go if given free tickets. Just my opinion.

If I could guarantee a win, I’d pay. I’d hate to pay all that money and then see them lose…Lol

Not me. I could entertain myself for weeks ( day and night) for $ 7,000.00 +, rather than spend that for 3 hrs of entertainment. Even if it's a Black/Gold victory you are out the money. But at least you had the experience of being at the game.....if that was your wish-list.
I paid $3000 in 2005 to see the Steelers - thankfully win. It had been 26 years since the Steelers won a SB and I didn’t know when I would see them win another. That was the urgency for going.
we are now at year 12 since the last SB for them and who know how long it will be with this rebuild
Tickets to the Superbowl cost more than how much ($2500) Art Rooney paid for the team in 1933.

I like football but not as much as surfing. For 7 grand i can fully fund at least 2 surfing trips where I spend weeks doing nothing but surfing eating and sleeping lol

As others have said, I could think of other ways to use the cash.
But to those that have been or are planning on going, hope you had a blast!

I went to the Knicks-Pacers game at the garden, got thrown out, then went barhopping with Spike and Reggie.

If I did go I'd want a deal where you had unlimited food/drink and all the pre-parties covered as well.
