Assuming you're getting the 2008 version of Roethlisberger ...
If you can go back over Ben's career and built a team for him to play with for one more season, who would be on your roster and would you choose Cowher or Tomlin as your coach? Let's assume you get each player in their prime.
I found this on CBSsports.com and thought it would be fun to post here with Ben's possible last game. I went with most of their team but changed a few (namely removing Mike Wallace).

Alejandro Villenueva at LT.
Timmons and Shazier at the LB spots. Hate to leave Farrior off...but those two would be far too fun to watch create total havoc.
And for my blasphemy for the day...Tomlin coaches the team.
But...not like I am complaining about the posted choices. Just another way to go.

Looks good except Gilbert should start at RT and Timmons at RILB. DL should be A. Smith - Hampton - Heyward.

Aaron Smith starting on the right side.
Timmons in place of Foote.

Just my personal opinion, but I would have Aaron Smith starting over any 3-4 defensive end in history. And Keisel, while popular, was probably not quite as effective as Tuitt, assuming he's healthy. Hampton is an interesting one, since while he's clearly the best nose tackle of the bunch, if we were exclusively playing today's game, you might just be better off lining someone like Heyward up in the middle. At ILB, Timmons and Shazier are the two best, but would both be on the field at once? I don't know. I wish there was a way to get Chris Hope on the team, but if we're strictly sticking to positions, maybe not.
I think I would also want Mike Wallace as my last WR over Johnson, and drop-kick Willie Parker from the team whether anyone replaces him or not.
If we count the part of Tommy Maddox's career that happened before Ben's rookie year, he'd be the best QB2, but if only 2004 onward, obviously not.
Cowher should coach the team and it's not even close.

On a side note, what QB has played with RB talent like that? Bettis, Bell, now Harris and Parker was his own kind of special. Hell even for a short period Mendenhall was really good.

Could you imagine Silverback and Watt bookending Heyward Bigsnack and A Smith? There isn’t an OL you could put together ever that could slow that destruction!

Aaron Smith ain't no backup. I'd put him at LDE and move Cam to RDE. Tuitt could backup one DE and Beard at the other DE.
James Harrison at backup Long Snapper. Who will tell him no?

Ben would hate that! He’d want Bruce for sure.

Ben would hate that! He’d want Bruce for sure.I don't think whiz has worked in two years. I'd hire him to run an offense in a second. Always thought he was creative and coached to his teams strength.
Ben would certainly want Bruce though 50 passes in Ohio winter weather(was that Arians? Idk) maybe set the new season sack record.

Didn’t Whiz just get a HC position in the new FB league?

I agree. You'd think it would be Haley though with four top 10 offenses in a row. Haley was fired after the Jags game where the offense scored 42 and the defense allowed 38. I don't see how Haley was the problem. If Butler was responsible for the defense he'd be gone already. That Jags game was insane. Ben threw for 300 yards more than the Jags were allowing on average.

Keisel was good but not Aaron Smith and Heyward good. He's gotta be a backup. He also benefited from playing opposite Smith and along side Big Snack
Foote and Farrior we're my favorite dou of this era. Timmons speed off the bench would be sweet.
Ike and Haden would shutdown about any set of WRs . Troy nuff said. Minkah, Hope?
Ben wouldn't even have to score

With these weapons and this version of an O line I might not mind Arians as OC. Those long developing plays downfield might actually work. And when they don’t, no one is scoring on this defense anyway.
