don't wait for the game to end , don't even wait till halftime .... cut the cord NOW ... Ben pooch punting would be equally effective with the element of potentially going for it

he is literally the reason we are down 10-3 right now all 10 points came from 27 yard punts

We should offer the Heinz crowd a chance to come to the field at the half for a punt competition. Include Harvin, he'll lose!

Another stupid draft pick and decision by the dumbest coach in the history of the NFL.

Hey, You can't say bad things about Tomlin on this forum. He's never had a losing season, hasn't anyone reminded you of that?

I'm so sick of hearing about what a great coach Tomlin is, I could puke!

"Oh, he's a great coach! His team can't score points, block, tackle, kick, or catch, but Oh, boy is he great!"

He's an idiot.

out scored 74-9 in first half of last 3 games .... if that doesn't make heads roll I give up

Something hasn't been right with Harvin most of the season. I think it' s in his head. He was averaging 48 yards per punt in college. Considering how bad we are in many places. I'll hold out hope for him to be a lot better next year.

Does anyone know anything about Harvin's game in college?

I read somewhere that he was "inconsistent" but was it this wild of a swing or something else?

This thread cracks me up….Many people here were so glad that Harvin was drafted……”get rid of Berry”. Not sure what is going on with Harvin, but it looked like a good pick, and he definitely won pre-season.

For sure. I just wondered if he’d had stretches like this before.

It seemed like a Raiders pick to me but not the first time the Steelers drafted a tank for a punter... Sepulveda. Steelers are already going in circles in the Tomlin era. 2021 draft replicated the 2008 draft.

I'm not mad at using a 6th though low pick.

he averaged around 48 per punt in college ... today he booted two in a row a whopping 27 yards ..... guessing Sepulveda all these years later without any practice could manage that because the punter on my grandsons HS team averages 38 and he is a 10th grade 16 year old kid

First punt was 27 yds that ended up at the 30 of TN…..resulted in a 3 and out. Second punt was 50 yrds with a 50 yard return. So he wasn’t the reason we were down 10. Poor coverage was the reason they had great field position on the second possession.

Let’s never forget Josh Miller. He could boot 70 yarders as easily as he could shank one 15.

Sepulvada was good but the guy blew out both knees. Can't say I blame him for that.

He was a good pick, just fragile.

Harvin? eh....

Berry was pretty much the same way. And his shanks usually came at absolutely the most inopportune of times and the most critical junctures of games.

Harvin was the leading vote getter in the Pro Bowl LOL

I wish the kid well but the Pro Bowl is a joke.

That’s funny! I don’t think he’s even in the top half in average.

The 254th pick out of 259 total picks in the draft.

Dont you know that wasting that kind of draft capital can cripple an entire organization for decades??

Time to cue up "the sky is falling cat" picture. $hit just got real!!

Apparently Harvin's father is near end of life and the Steelers gave him a weekend to remember. Classy move by the Steelers and prayers to Harvin and his family.

Hopefully he was too high on pain meds to hear the fans boo his son too much.

This is why I hate fan voting for the pro bowl. A lot of people who get in are just players on popular teams, not because they deserved it

Dude has the ability to boot it 50+ yards every punt and he's barely averaging better than our previous punter. Not to mention that "average" is bloated by his better than average punting 10 weeks ago. He hasn't done shit but set defenses up for the last several weeks.

I absolutely LOVED the pick. It was worth a R7 comp pick to attempt to upgrade the position.

It’s frustrating to watch a guy shank punts. But seriously we have much bigger problems. Najee hasn’t had a hole to run through since December of 2020 in Tuscaloosa.
