Slow starts kill this team again. Took too long to wake up. You don't go down 29-0 and expect to win many games.

Coaching staff couldn't get it done. Get your guys rest to play on a short week on the road . Attempt to make a defense adjustment after a quarter of shit play. Dam anything in this first half would have helped

i don't care who you play, whether it be a high school team, a junior college team, a college team, much less an NFL team, if you go down 29-0 late in the 3rd quarter you ain't gonna beat anybody i just talked about, anybody

Last pass was on the money.

29-0. Embarrassing.

Tomlin will get his 8-8-1 somehow.

Ben in the 4th quarter has been lights out. But we can’t wait that long to start playing.

I think this might have been the first game Ben threw for over 300 yards

Maybe it's time for Ben to come out to the media and throw Canada under the bus.

Just saw limited highlights. Claypool was out of hand. Ludicrous catches.

They need to dump the scripted 20 plays that feels out the defensive tendencies.

Just run no huddle, they execute much more fluidly.

From what I can tell, the biggest problem is rampant inexperienced pass protection. RB and interior OL had no answers for Zimmers A gap pressures. Saw a weakness and exploited it repeatedly.

I continue to be proven wrong on Witherspoon.

ILb play is horrible.

It was zero defense in the first half, Cooks first 3 runs netted something like 60yards, he had over 200 yards by himself with most of that in the first half. The crazy thing is Muth had the TD at the end.

Ben played absolutely lights out when the OL finally started blocking, accurate passes over the middle, into tight windows (that last pass to Muth was absolutely perfect and Muth dropped it)

Goat: Ben for giving up 29 points in the first half, getting sacked six times, making Claypool play like an egg and telling Johnson to drop the tuddie. Bring on Rudolph!!!

it was a good play by the DB to jar it loose before Muth could secure it

Gameball to Ben, he almost brought the team back from the grave - no thanks to the illustrious coaching staff

Whatever we did on defense in the second half made a huge difference, but honestly we were lucky to be in the game at all after a putrid start like that. The offensive line played worse for 3 quarters than I have seen since the 2008 Eagles game. Defense couldn't do shit either. I guess we showed some urgency during the comeback, but there was a shitload of luck involved in it too.

It speaks volumes about our discipline and focus that the defense ran down the whole field and got together for a family picture pose when we were behind by three touchdowns. And that Claypool showboating after a first down cost us 14 seconds on a do-or-die drive with under a minute and no timeouts. 14 seconds! Like, really, what the fuck are you thinking?

The divergence between the Minnesota player who sneakily knocked the ball 10 yards away from the ref, and our guy bitching at the ref after we finally spiked it, was a perfect example of the difference between two team cultures. A random guy who's on alert for any edge to help win the game, and a guy who thinks he's hot shit and actually has the talent to back it up, but at the end of the day he's still a clown. How many of those have we had? More than a couple.

The NFL didn’t do the Steelers any favors by scheduling a Thursday night game right after the Ravens game. The game after the Ravens game is always tough; it is mentally and physically draining. Only having four days to recover, one would expect what we saw in the first half: the defense looked worn out and the offense looked out of sync.

I’m going to give Tomlin some credit for whatever he said/did during halftime. The defense came out on fire, and aside from that long TD reception (btw: the receiver pushed Sutton’s helmet which caused Sutton to fall down) the defense only gave up a few FGs… one of which was on a shortened field.

I was ready to explode with excitement when Muth caught that. And, Yes, he did catch it. Then, Harrison Smith perfectly timed his punch to hit the ball. A millisecond later or an inch lower/higher and we are celebrating.

Speaking of touchdowns by Muth, he has more TDs then all of the other rookie TEs combined. Plus, several two-point conversions. Blah-blah-blah special yadda-yadda Kelce-esque words and more words All Pro.

DJ getting out of bounds the play before was so huge.

Why didn’t Witherspoon return his second INT for a pick-six??? I know that the receiver behind him is fast, and so maybe Witherspoon was afraid of fumbling the ball. Anyway, we scored a TD regardless, but it was still an odd return.

In the topic of Witherspoon INTs, Bush tipped the other one into Witherspoon’s hands. My audio could barely pick it up, but I swear I heard Bush yell: “Take that, Toonces!!!”

The “block in the back” call on Leglue was so annoying. Everyone is running full speed, and the DB in front of him stops. Leglue simply cannot stop as quickly (duh), and gets one of the dumbest flags I’ve seen thrown in a while. I know, I know: everyone complains about the refs… but, that is basic physics.

Troy Aikman highlighted Najee’s second-effort on that third down run as one of the best three-yard-runs he’s ever seen. A bit of hyperbole, but it was indeed very impressive.

Speaking of third down runs, we had run it up the middle twice for four and five yards. On third-&-1, we decide to run outside… something that had not worked all game. I don’t care if the defense “knows” you are going to run up the middle, it was where we had had success. Snap, everyone move forward, get one stinking yard.

Can we just go “no huddle” all game long? Really. No joke. Why even try to do what they’ve been doing in the first half of games. The Steelers offenses in the fourth quarters of the Chargers, Ravens, and Vikings games are unstoppable. Really. No hyperbole. This needs to happen.

n.

The block in the back on Leglue is on him, it was a penalty and he just didnt need to be chasing a guy when you can see his nameplate on the jersey, he needs to train his eyes downfield to the next purple jersey.

On 3rd and 1, the O line got zero push at the snap of the ball. As Tomlin said in his presser, "we have to make the pile fall forward". So if you need to convert a 3rd down and have a O line getting no push up the middle and a 220 Lb RB that leads the league in broken tackles, they another option is to run off tackle. That is on the O line. I can think of one specific time where Moore and LeGlue just got pushed into the backfield on short yardage. No fire. No guts, No effort.
