I've noticed that as well. I don't want a QB that plays scared and just checks down to the RB in the flat so often. It looked to me like he could have thrown the ball out in front of a couple receivers so far to try and complete the ball down the field past the marker, although I will say it looks like Carolina is playing good and tight coverage on our receivers tonight.

Sorry, I had turned away from game and then I heard that the play was under review, so I assumed Tomlin challenged whether it was a fumble or not. The refs came back and ruled it an incompletion. I missed the play live, so maybe it was ruled a fumble at first and the refs then reviewed it an determined it was an incompletion. On the replay it looked like a fumble to me, Darnold had his arm down low and it was kind of going forward, but it sure looked to me like the Steelers knocked the ball out of his hand.

I did not think it was possible, but the start of the 2nd half is even worse viewing as a Steelers fan. The defense was totally non-existent there on Carolina's opening drive, and everyone looked slow on defense compared to the Panthers offense.

Honestly, was there anybody of significance that played for the Steelers last night? I turned the game on quick after I got home around 10:30, and I didn't really see anyone. I mean, the entire Steelers D that was on the field to start looked to be backups. Meh... I'm not worried at all.
