I'm old enough to be these players father. I don't buy jersey's anymore just sweat and/or t-shirts with the Steelers logo.

Always wanted to get the Bobby lane Jersey, thought it would be cool to get a qb Jersey with the no 22 on it, that, or Mike Wagner’s 23 or shells 31 cause I played a little DB when I as a teen. But like a few of the other older guys, I’ll stick to my Steelers logo t shirt

Rookies are good because you're safe 4-5 years. I avoid guys in the last year of their deal when it could go either way. I rarely ever wear one, but I still like to collect them.

For my first grade picture, I wore my brand new Bradshaw jersey …and, within two years, he was injured/retired.

A decade later, I bought a Lloyd jersey …and, within two years, he was injured.

After that it was Kirkland (left for Seattle within two years) and. Zereoue (cut within two years).

Ergo, seeing myself as a jinx, I stopped buying jerseys. Of course, thinking that I has outsmarted the football gods, I bought jerseys for my children:
-Miller (retired within two years)
-Polamalu (retired within two years)
-AV (National Anthem debacle)
-JuJu (turned into a dancing machine… got moved inside/to the slot).

I guess that I need to purchase a Snell jersey.:lol:

Weird thing is I made my first and only jersey purchase after Woodson left. The only jersey I ever bought for myself. As a kid I got gifts of Bradshaw t-shirts and one that very much resembled a Bradshaw jersey. I'm thinking once Ben retires my next jersey purchase will be a #7.
