Let’s all get the obvious out of the way. Ben Roethlisberger played about as bad a half of football as he ever has in the first half of Monday’s loss (still hurts to write) against the Cincinnati Bengals. It’s hard to believe we were watching a future Hall of Fame quarterback. Things got better in the second half – though not significantly so – but Roethlisberger and the offense put themselves in too big of a hole from that terrible first half of play.

I believe it was the on first play that Ben tried to connect with Washington downfield. It was exactly like last week except it wasn't picked, but should have been.

It was both hard and sad to watch. But unless there is something that's not been published as an underlying cause, he's at the end of a HOF career.

Father time claimed Eli last year. He is now claiming Ben this year it appears, minus there being some repairable injury (but at what point is a guy too broken and fragile).
None of us like it, but it happens. We've been lucky to have this many years of steady high-caliber QB play. Hopefully the Steelers can find another franchise QB before too long.

Not every HOF quarterback gets to ride off into the sunset on glory.
Last night was a big reality check. Ben is through as a legitimate QB in the NFL.

Watching shitty qb play from the qb responsible for super bowl wins no. 5 and 6 is more difficult than seeing bad qb play from your typical run of the mill bad qb

The record is good enough to place us at the bottom of the first round. I really don't think there's a QB worth taking at that spot. Last year I wanted us to take Jalen Hurts. This year I'm not sure if there's an equivalent.

Because said quarterback isn't chewing up most of your cap space.
Ben is making among the most money of any quarterback in the NFL, for Mason Rudolph production. It's unacceptable under any circumstances.
