Iconic franchise QB who won a lot in the past, but is aging and skills are diminishing. Too afraid to let go because of the great memories we had and deep down, we just hope that down inside that player, there is one more run in him. One more shot. One more title run. Green Bay held onto Brett Favre hoping it would happen, and it never did. Favre continued to diminish with bad play and cost the team. The Packers kept disappointing. Green Bay finally had to cut Favre loose and move on from him.

The Steelers are just "good enough" with this current iteration of Roethlisberger. They're nowhere near championship material and we do not have the coaches to cover for it.

Ben is set to eat up a lot of cap space on the team next year, but we continue to get diminishing returns from him. It's going to cost the team this Defense, which was finally coming together.

Tonight was a reality check to end all reality checks.

The Packers at least had Rodgers waiting and ready to go behind Favre.........The Steelers do not obviously.
