View Full Version : Week 15: For Whom To Root

For those of us who have time to watch other games, here are the teams for whom you should probably be rooting (because, these wins/losses will help the Steelers).

Chiefs @ Saints: Duh... GO SAINTS!!!

Browns @ NYGiants: Duh... GO GIANTS!!!

Bills @ Broncos: In order to keep the #2 seed... GO BRONCOS!!!

Jaguars @ Ravens: DUH... GO JAGUARS!!!

My next objective is to keep the Ravens out of the playoffs. IMO, they are our toughest out. They know us, they hate us, and they are hungry for a rematch.

Chargers @ Raidahs: Keep the Ravens on the outside looking in. Go Raidahs.

Texans @ Colts: I don’t think that the Colts (nor Titans) can catch the Steelers for the #3 seed. Go Colts. Kind of.

Lions @ Titans: I don’t think that the Titans (nor Colts) can catch the Steelers for the #3 seed. Go Titans. Kind of.

Taperiots @ Dolphins: It not only helps keep the Ravens out of the playoffs, it all but eliminates the Taperiots. Double-victory!!! GO DOLPHINS!!!

Enjoy.

1.- Saints, they can win this one.
2.- NY, go Giants but....I think it will be difficult for them to win.
3.- Broncos.
4.- Jags, same as no 2.

Do the Saints have Brees again, or is Hill going to start? I don’t think the Saints have a chance without Brees.

Early reports indicate Taysom Hill is gonna get the call. Sounds like Brees is still pretty busted up.

I heard on the radio today that Brees has been cleared to play but they have not activated him yet.

Brees was cleared to play, but Sean Payton said he's no where near ready. They are currently the #2 seed (Packers have head to head tie breaker and are the #1 seed) so unless the Packers lose they are locked into the #2 seed and aren't going to risk rushing Brees back.

Chiefs are going 18-1 and repeating.

One word: revenge

Freddy Kitchens (NYGiants) will play this game like it’s his Super Bowl. With Garrett out (COVID), Kitchens will pull all the stops in order to try to beat his old team. As in: expect “the Annexation of Puerto Rico” types of plays to be run a few dozen times.

I’ll take either win. But, both would be insane.

What’s weird is Thomas was better when Hills was in at QB...

Thomas was out for so long, and when he did finally come back...Brees went out injured soon after. I think it's just a matter of Thomas getting back in the groove and up to full speed and condition just about the time Brees went out.

But you’d think they’ve been together so long it wouldn’t make that big a difference. Maybe...I think they played two games together? Maybe 3 this season?

I think it was because Thomas was away from the game for so long. He was the one that took time to get back on track.

In the games they played together, the Saints offense was having issues similar to the Steelers recent woes. Defenses stopped worrying/respecting Brees downfield and they super compressed the field. Their best offensive play was something short to Kamara and hoping he made EVERYONE miss. The amazing thing was that he did.

Bills blowed out the Broncos. They are the 2nd best team in the AFC right now and starting to play their best at the right time. They're probably not going to beat the Chiefs in the AFC Championship game though

Chiefs have pulled some shit out of thier asses this year, they can be beat, thier defense is just ok

Titans defense is complete ass though. I remember last year's AFC Championship game, running Henry worked for about a quarter and a half, then the Chiefs made a couple plays and got rolling and the Titans couldn't keep up (their defense was better last year too)

You're not gonna go far as an NFL defense with the comically inept pass rush the Titans roll out.

They mastered Dick Lebeau's patented "Velcro Blitz™", where a blizting defender latches onto the nearest opposing blocker

I can’t say that I’m mad at the Bills for winning the AFC East. Yes, I was rooting against them for the benefit of the Steelers, but it was really nice to see those fans celebrating.

Good team.

It’s frustrating to watch them because they pretty much just score whenever they need to and then just screw around with new stuff the rest of the time...

Browns lose: Steelers clinch AFC North, but also it essentially launches the Ravens into the playoffs.

Browns win: Steelers can still clinch with a win tomorrow (or next week, or in Week 17)... but, it makes the Ravens’ playoff hopes diminish.

So... go NYGiants??? go Browns???

Brees was playing with a MASH unit of receivers snd a TE who is dumb as can be... and the Chiefs could barely slow them down. Meanwhile, Cam Jordan got ejected and Trey Hendrickson left with an arm injury. (Plus, that safety at the end of the half should have been a TD.)

People keep talking about how the Steelers “haven’t played anybody”... well, the Chiefs haven’t played a team at “full strength” in months.

SUMMATION:
As they say, it’s better to be lucky than good.
