The Steelers listed him as questionable yesterday after the injury so that's a good sign but no one has said anything about him. Yes he's not Devin Bush but he is the defensive signal caller and was doing a fantastic job. Losing Bush, Dupree and him for the season would be a tough hill to climb.
Let's hope it's nothing major, I like the kid he's got heart.

Let's hope he can get back quickly...

We really can't afford to lose any more starters on defense

Word is that he is going to miss some time, but not season ending. Good thing Williamson was added for vet insurance.
Personally, I think having James Conner back in the lineup is far more important than the difference between Spillane and Williamson. Snell is terrible.

James Conner and Pouncey will be big. This backup center has performed okay for a #2 but that's not saying much

Yeah, Fowler saying miss some time... whatever the hell that means.
He already "missed some time" in the last game. He will probably "miss some time" this week for practice.
I mean, c'mon already.

Maybe an MCL sprain. 2-3 weeks possibly.
Again, I am not as concerned with ILB as much as the Offense. If James Conner was active, the Steelers likely score on the goal line where Benny Snail takes too long to get to the LOS and the Steelers are likely still undefeated. The RB position is horrid right now.

I understand. My point was it was a non-report report. Just wait for the team to post the injury information instead of getting a "best guess" twat out there... but that's Twatter reporting these days.
And I agree, missing Conner is big.

Spillane suffered a knee injury which Tomlin said is still being evaluated. While Tomlin didn’t elaborate, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN did say via his Twitter account Spillane should return at some point this season."

Another guy we need even more us Joe Haden. I know he is in concussion protocol but did we get any news today about his tests today?
Nelson should be back on Sunday but we need both of them to beat the Bills I think.

I agree, but if Nelson is back, Sutton can start and be okay. When they were both out Washington started moving down the field.
Buffalo is going to be like playing Lamar. You HAVE to account for Josh Allen. At this point if we lose anymore starters on defense this great season is in jeopardy.

I thought Sutton did a fine job. With Sutton and Hilton, we have great back up players at CB.

Hilton plays the slot as well or better than anyone in the league but he isnt an outside corner at 5'8 ish
Justin Lane is the guy who has to step up BIGTIME and thus far he hasnt shown to be ready as a starter
Sutton is as good a backup as your gonna find IMO

I just think the Dupree loss was a bridge too far. With Dupree playing teams couldn't focus on TJ or Dupree, now they can.
At this point I'd rather have Ben retire and keep this defense together by signing Dupree & Hilton. Trade for a guy like Jalen Hurts (still on a rookie contract with a $1.5 million cap hit), build a decent running game and go from there.
Could you imagine this defense with a healthy Bush, Dupree and Spillane?

Except Hurts is going to be starting for the Eagles

No he's not. Wentz is signed to a ridiculously large contract which makes him untradeable. There is no way you make Wentz a backup with his CAP hit. Unless the Eagles can find someone dumb enough to take Wentz he's their guy.
Carson Wentz signed a 4 year, $128,000,000 contract with the Philadelphia Eagles, including a $16,367,683 signing bonus, $107,970,683 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $32,000,000. In 2020, Wentz will earn a base salary of $1,383,000, a roster bonus of $8,000,000 and a signing bonus of $30,000,000, while carrying a cap hit of $18,656,536 and a dead cap value of $77,877,152.

Starting next year Wentz's CAP hit will be over $30 million per year for the next four years. OUCH! Unless they can trade him, convince him to retire or the league folds they are stuck with him. Cutting him would stick them with over $77 million in dead CAP space.

Jets are only team that are dumb enough. Since they get first pick that scenario out the door.
