Yes, now we need the offense to catch up.
If these two could ever just get on the same page..... the team would be unstoppable.

I can find the stats for TFLs, but they have to be leading that as well.

Too lazy to check the exact math. But it looks like the Bucs have them by a tackle or two.

298 points (29.8 ppg), which puts the Steelers at #4 in the league behind only the Chiefs (321 points - 32.1 ppg), the Seahawks (318 points - 31.8 ppg) and the Packers (308 points - 30.8 ppg).
Not too shabby. But I agree, if they can get the running game shored up and if Ben starts hitting consistently on the long ball again, they would be unstoppable.

Already more points than last year!

Wow - really? I didn't check. I believe it, though - I hadn't seen a Steelers offense as anemic as last year's since the Kordell Era.

289 points last year in 16 games...298 points in 10 games this year!
The steelers had more offensive TD that last year since the game vs Dallas!

You'd never know the Steelers have an Elite defense or anything else for that matter if you leave it up to the talking heads on TV and Media. I can't say I've ever seen such a complete disregard for an undefeated NFL team in the 30+ seasons I've watched the NFL.

Two of the players on the “Top 5 in Pressures” list are playing on MNF.
The Steelers have the other three. :wink02:

The defense is giving up only 17.4 pts per game. Offense is scoring 29.8 pts per game. That IS fairly incredible considering how much all the coaches suck. Imagine if we had Munch.

Right... and we have the two worst coordinators in football.

I bet some good coaches would have this team 11-0 in only 10 weeks. What a bunch of slackers we have.
In all seriousness though, I was truly amazed at how Tomlin and the coaches were able to keep this team focused last season. That could have easily gone very south and very ugly. Keeping this season's team focused with all the other crap going on in the world around them is also pretty amazing. If only it were just the Covid pandemic, a divisive election, the continued anthem issue/social injustice, but now there is also the element of the schedule getting changed multiple times now and the daily life disruption due to NFL protocols and guidelines. The fact that every team isn't playing .500 ball and/or dealing with mass opting out is seriously miraculous. Kudos to our coaches and a big thanks to our players for keeping their focus and giving my life a sense of normalcy this season. At least sports/entertainment-wise.

I do not feel that Randy Fitchner is the “reason” that our offense is doing well; in fact, I would aver that we only have success when he’s NOT calling plays. As I’ve stated numerous times, I feel that Ben has to overcome opposing defense AND his own offensive coordinator.

PFF was just ripping the Steelers (They are overrated!!!). Their rationale is that Ben is an average QB and that a defense simply cannot carry a team to a Super Bowl.
1) I’m assuming that the guys at PFF never saw the 1985 Bears, the 2000 Ravens, the 2002 Bucs, nor the 2015 Broncos.
2) Ben is better than Jim McMahon, Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson, and the last-season of Peyton Manning.

Remember, averaging about 30 points a game with little to no running game has nothing to do with Ben. I must be missing all those defensive touchdowns to get all those points.:jerkit:
With a real quarterback, they would be 14-0 already and average 50 points per game.

Imagine if Ben was allowed to call plays in Q1 and Q3 (as opposed to only in Q2 and Q4). Ben would be leading the NFL in many categories...
