Yep. Especially after a physical game where a ton of players are probably gonna be spending time in the tub. Always is the case after a Ravens game, the team usually comes out flat the week after.
Though that Dallas defense is soft, I think Conner can have a big day.

Seriously on the heart attack thing -- I could feel my heart pounding out of my chest there at the end. Also, we gave up 264 yards rushing and still won? HOW???? The offense put in a stinker, but seemed to figure things out just in the nick of time. I've been quiet this season, but daaaaaaaang, 7-0 is some historic level whoop-ass. :jolly:

I said that to my kids. Even if they do, they won 2/3 and two wins were against two top teams in the AFC...so that’s good!!

I almost feel like it was by design, it's almost like they were content to give up the 4-5 yard runs to not allow jackson to burn you with those highlight reels. Didn't do good for my blood pressure though.

It’s quite possible. Look, regardless of what occurred on the field and what they gave up, they got the W and if the offense was working in the first half, it could’ve gotten real ugly for the Ravens. So maybe it was by design. Certainly looked like the middle of the field was wide open to the run and the pass. Maybe they were giving that to the Ravens? Only they know...

I’m glad Cincinnati beat the Titans.
But I don’t think any games will be easy outs, especially division games. We have a giant target on our backs.

I agree that Cincy is not an easy out. But the Titans total inability to muster a pass rush is going to keep getting them in trouble.
The Bengals were starting 4 new OL with at least one of them literally signed off the street week of the game and NO sacks by the Titans?

This. I fully expect us to lose 1 out of the next three games. We also have some injuries piling up in places like the d"line. Still very confident for the rest of the season but there is a reason why very few teams go undefeated or even 15-1.
We play down to the Bungholes almost each and every time... only 1 in the last 4 games did we actually just stomp them... But we’ve won the what last 10? [emoji1787]
I would not be surprised we get spanked by them, we are due for that “wtf happened” game.

Another media idiot with hot takes that has no idea what he's talking about. He probably gets fed information from other people that don't know much about football or the draft.
Chase Claypool is a homerun.
Alex Highsmith is already getting significant playing time and stepped in and had an interception today.
Kevin Dotson looks like he is going to be a real player that may have a long, successful career with the Steelers.
Oh yeah.....Big Ben is back, the team is undefeated, and Adam Schein looks like a complete fraud when it comes to football knowledge and understanding how the draft process works and evaluating talent. He also seems to think that the Steelers aren't serious about winning? He couldn't be more wrong on all counts.
Way to go Schein! Another hot take that was a complete swing and a miss. Next time try making statements like that about a dumpster fire franchise. They might give your prognostications a chance to come true.
Typical media dumbass with zero real knowledge.

This was definitely one of the worst takes of all times, but to Colin’s credit he has admitted that he was totally wrong about the Steelers and now says they are the best constructed roster in the NFL.
I wonder is Schein ever talked about how wrong he was. Of course he predicted the Ravens would win today... but he’s a notorious Raven licker.

The problem has gone too far and Cowherd always jump on the bandwagon when a team is doing well ... Cowherd did the same with the lakers in the NBA after talking trash on them before the playoffs.
When he has the opportunity to crush the steelers, he will do it ... He never gives the steelers the benifice of doubt when things are not going well for them...Same for Schein but Schein is even worse!

Cowher’s has done his job: we are talking about him.
Notice that his “hot takes” rarely involve fringe teams. The Steelers get ratings. The Lakers get ratings. The Cowboys, the Yankees, and the Bruins get ratings.
Back to the topic...
7-0... and yet, this team has yet to play two complete halves. Once the offense gets into rhythm (I’m looking at the Dallas game for this to happen), we should truly become a force to be reckoned with. As much as Baltimore isn’t built to play from behind, our defense is built to play with a lead. If the offense can score early (and keep scoring), it will allow Watt & Dupree to focus on rushing the passer (and not so much on stopping the run)... and then, well... it’ll be fun as a Steelers fan.

You’re right that we really need to play compete games from now on, but the thing that is actually reassuring is that we can play an absolutely awful half of football and still beat really good teams.
That’s one thing the Ravens don’t do. They don’t face a lot of adversity so they don’t react well to it. We LIVE for adversity. We create it just to make things interesting. And we STILL win.
That’s a team that’s tough to the core.

Is this the best Steeler team we've had in a while?
This seems like the first time since the mid 2000's where we had both a good offense and defense. I think our defense actually matches up well against the 2005 squad. This front 7 may even be better than what we had, as great as they were. Tuitt / Heyward may be even a better duo than Smith / Kiesel was, and same goes for Dupree / Watt vs Woodley / Harrison. On the offensive side, we don't have Parker and the Bus, but we definitely have more talent at WR this time around. Which I don't mind, in the current times it's a passing league.

It's very possible ... They are very balanced in offense in the sense that it is not only 1 or two weapons in offense, since everyone contributes and it is a different player in each game who leads the offense for yards
In defense, they just need to be more consistent in the 3rd downs and they can be the best defense in the NFL.
I already thought that the 2017 team were the most talented in the Roethlisberger era but the steelers had way too much drama in their team, the leadership was missing and the lockerroom was toxic ... Shazier's injury was also a killer .... The 2020 team might not be as talented as 2017 even though they have a lot of talent but they have no drama and they have great chemistry which is very important if you want to have a realistic chance of winning for the super bowl.

Well said, and I agree. This 2020 team seems more like a 'family' than the Killer B's who were all about the stats and personal glory. A big reason for this season's success is likely a big part due to the harmony in the locker room.
