I think it’s a combination of both. The Browns look horrible. Ravens look sharp.

I think the Ravens are playing well but not necessarily “sharp”. Many penalties and they’ve let Chubb get some decent runs. The score says Browns look bad, but watching the game they don’t look inept. Just have rust and a new game plan to figure out. Four HC in a few years will do that.

Somehow the Eagles blew a 17 point lead to the Redskins and somehow the Colts are down by 7 to the Jags. Not a good look for either potential playoff team

Bears just came back from a 17 point deficit to take a 4 point lead against the Lions. The Eagles have full-blown collapsed against the (I'll say it I don't care) Redskins. The Eagles surrendered 27 straight after leading by 17. As for the Browns and Ravens, the Ravens are legit and a complete team, but the Browns are also not a good team. I don't know why some people thought this year would be the year they did something

Hopped around a few games today. Didn't closely watch details in any. But from what I did retain and notice, the Saints are going to just beat the snot out of folks. They can score buckets of points and I had no idea their defense was so good.

Cardinals win exciting game against 49ers. Murray had over 300 total yards (pass and rush). Cardinals are a team to watch for

I just don't see it happening. He's Josh McCown v2.0. Just good enough to hang around on someone's roster, but never good enough to put the team on his back and elevate everyone around him.

I always said that Mayfield reminded me of a more athletic version of Bruce Gradkowski. Both similar in stature and short to mid range passing skills. Mayfield looks a bit better than Gradkowski did, but I kind of agree with your assessment that he will hang around the league on potential, but never be an answer as a starter.

I didn't watch every game and not every play of any game but the Steelers. That being said I watched portions of 4 or 5 and highlights of several others. There was a TON of kicking issues. And I don't get it. It seems the one part of NFL football you could practice on your own. Get a bag of balls, one of those holder things every team has on the sidelines, drive to your local HS field, and just boot a bunch of balls every day.

But there were some ugly shanks and doinks off uprights in several games. Maybe working with the LS and holder is part of it to get the timing down?
