If people dislike this thread I will delete it, but since we still don’t have much football to talk about, I thought this would be a great place for “stat diggers” to show their stuff.
My first one:
Ramon Foster...Never was going to be an Alan Faneca, but solid left guard, and a leader on the OLine....In eleven years with the Steelers, (his entire career), he had 11 holding penalties and 25 total penalties. 2017 he didn’t have a single penalty. To me.....an impressive stat. Hell, Kemoeatu had more penalties in four years than Foster had in eleven.

Good thread idea! As for Kemoeatu...He may have had more than Foster in a season. He was ALWAYS good for one a game. Wasn't the best player but the one thing I did like about Kemo was he played ANGRY!!!

Kemo would drive me crazy with the timing of his penalties. And almost always for pre-snap or after the whistle calls. Foster is a success story no matter how you look at it. He was a great Steeler.

Same for Willie Colon but of course Colon was a better player...This o-line at this time had so many drive killer penalties.

Not really a stat but could explain that awesome defense.....Aaron Smith, Keisel, Big Snack, Ike, and Troy, played their entire careers with the Steelers.

Here a mind-boggling one:
Sept 12, 2004
Raiders at Steelers
Jerome Bettis: 5 carries, 1 yard, 3 TDs

In thirteen seasons with Steelers, Dermontti Dawson only had nine penalties called against him. Seven of those seasons he had zero.

Ben was also 14-1 on the road in his first two seasons, including the playoffs .... Of course, he wasn't alone, but he was a big piece.

This has to be a record. Steelers vs Chargers in the 2008 Playoffs
Most time of possession in a quarter 14:43! (3rd Quarter)
The Chargers had 1 play using up 17 seconds.
