The results of the draft aren’t clear yet. They won’t be for months to come. In some cases, years to come.

What was clear, though, were some of the messages sent to members of the current roster by Tomlin and Colbert. Those messages were sometimes in words. But more consistently through action based on how they drafted.

So this guy has turned up with the revolutionary thesis that the NFL is the most ruthless competitive of the major sports leagues and teams are constantly on the look-out for players that can do the jobs of the guys on the current roster better and cheaper?

Wow. This is mind blowing. Who knew? Someone better tell the players and agents all this. It is going to totally change the nature of the league.

This guy gets paid for this. It is part of his job to analyze and cover the Steelers. As a professional. Good thing that doesn't take actual effort or thought on his part. Wouldn't want him to have to work for a living.

For instance, he simultaneous points out how VW is going to get more snaps in a variety of situations AND that Brooks or someone is going to get a ton of snaps as an ILB. Hard for both to be true.
