How have the Steelers fared when selecting players in the second round of the NFL draft in the Kevin Colbert era?

With the Pittsburgh Steelers already using their 2020 first-round pick in the NFL draft on Minkah Fitzpatrick, the Steelers will be making their first selection in the second round unless they pull off an unlikely trade. Although the player will be selected on the second day, it will feel much more like a first-round pick for the Steelers as it will be their top choice in the draft. Of course expectations will be high from fans, but what should we expect?

Rather than look at the players production while with the Steelers, all of their NFL statistics will be included. With that in mind, the following is the statistical data from all the Steelers second round draft selections in the Kevin Colbert era:

Here is how I would “grade” the picks...

A: JuJu, Tuitt, Bell, Gilbert, Woodley, Bell, Smith

B: Worilds, McFadden, Randle El

C: Davis

D: Colclough

F: Golden, Adams, Jackson

INC: Washington

F... but I still love the pick: Sweed

Macfadden a B? Too high. C for me.

He was a very good player for us and he was at the end of the second round...He make also a very important play at the end of the playoffs game in Indy as rookie too.

And not many player better that McFadden in the 3rd round outside of Frank Gore and Justin Tuck...This pick deserve a B
