View Full Version : Pandemic be damned, Dak Prescott hosts a party for 30

Reasonable minds apparently can differ on whether it’s OK for guys like Dak Prescott and Dez Bryant to go out (despite an order to stay home) and work out at a public gym (despite an order that it should be closed). It’s hard to imagine reasonable minds differing on this.

According to TMZ.com, Prescott hosted a birthday party for a friend on Friday night. At one point, thirty people attended. And one of the photos posted at TMZ.com shows in the background a cluster of bodies far closer than six feet apart. The photos also include a table set for a meal that would have entailed everyone sitting elbow to elbow.

Also present for the antisocially-distanced birthday party was Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott.

Not much different from these morons except for the adjusted gross incomes and that everyone who can read or has access to a TV knows more now than they did a month ago about how serious this is

A get together on a platform like Zoom was too much for them? I've been engaged in weekly social gatherings on there

You are correct.

Arrogance and entitlement with a large dose of boredom and lack of leadership.

If they all are known to not be infected what difference does it make? I would have just had them all come over for a sleepover, make their "temporary home". If you have a family of 12 people, that too is more than 10.

Not that I agree with it.

You can still have COVID-19 and not show any symptoms of being sick.

Also, even if a person tested negative for the virus, the test could be a false negative. I read where many experts believe almost a third of all tests may have been false negatives.

That's why people just need to honor the advice of the experts and stay away from gatherings of people until this passes. It's dangerous to meet in groups and they are endangering a lot of people with those actions. It's just wrong and dangerous to do that right now.

Unless everyone of those 30 people has been tested, which I am sure they weren’t, then you don’t know and if they are doing that, I am sure they aren’t taking the proper precautions with the catering, the beer, the Courvoisier, the weed, etc.

If and when they start testing for Covid-19 antibodies, a lot of us that never had any symptoms are going to test positive for the antibodies. Some immune systems can handle it without ever showing symptoms, but would have still been able to pass it to others who's immune system could not.

That's the point of the lock down, to slow down the spread so the hospitals don't get overwhelmed.

Typical drama news media overreaction. From 30 people to fewer than 10

This is why we need to realize that Twitter and TMZ are NOT news. We really need to start understanding and recognizing that not all media sources are "news". I am not trying to criticize anyone here or any specific posting in any way.

Just really, don't use Twitter or TMZ or PFT for actual information that you use to form your opinions of make judgements on anything of any importance. Entertainment? Laughs? Sure, why not? But facts? C'mon.

Agreed, cable 24-7 news is a big soap opera machine. News in the morning, afternoon and evening is all that is needed and a few good discussion programs where people don't sit and scream at each other for 30 minutes.
