Vote for which matchup you would like to see in the Super Bowl.

Then, explain Why?

AFCCG:
Titans @ Chiefs I know that the Titans losing helps our R4 pick. But, after rooting for them fir the past two weekends, I’ve sort of found them enjoyable. Go Titans!!!

NFCCG:
Packers @ Niners I have no problem with the Niners “catching up to us” in Super Bowls. I’ve always respected them as an organization. Plus, if we don’t want anyone to “catch us”, then we should simply start winning championships. Lastly, that audio of the Packers players making fun of Troy (during Super Bowl XLV) still chafes me. Go Niners!!!

Once the playoff teams were set and the Steelers were eliminated my goal was to get the Pats and Ravens out so that happening ASAP has already achieved what I most wanted from these playoffs

Prefer Chiefs and 49ers to win since I see that as the most entertaining Super Bowl matchup - Mahomes against the Niners defensive front would be fun to watch

But I am grateful to the Titans for knocking out Pats & Ravens so if they win that is fine

Do not strongly dislike Packers but grew weary of State Farm’s QB years ago so will be rooting for 49ers

After that will want the AFC Super Bowl rep to win it all after dreading another Pats Super Bowl appearance 4 of the past 5 Super Bowls

I'd like to see the Titans for Vrabel's sake and because I enjoy a big back, and the 49ers because I've always liked them and it wouldn't bother me having them catch us.

There is something to like about each matchup.

Titans vs. Niners: Slug it out, Steelers-Ravens style 2008 AFC North football.

Chiefs vs. Niners: Insane offense vs. amazing defense.

Chiefs vs. Packers: The QB duel... future vs. old.

Titans vs. Packers: Uh... okay. I can’t think of why it’s a good matchup. I mean, it is, because they’re two good teams, but... :noidea: Honestly, it just has the least appeal.

I think the Chiefs have held up well enough against the run. The penalties have been killers that have led to Titans points. Without those penalties, the Chiefs get a couple more possessions this half, the Titans have less points, and this is probably a different game.

If they missed it, they would then need two TDs.

The AFC is the home team.

As I understand it, in order to wear “all white” (no gold pants) they have to request permission (they cannot randomly choose to alter their “base” uniform).

:yup:

Rodgers’s advanced stats have been trending down for years. This season the veteran QB finished 20th in QBR (https://www.espn.com/nfl/qbr/_/seasontype/2), tied for 27th in completion percentage above expectation (https://nextgenstats.nfl.com/stats/passing#completionPercentageAboveExpectation), and 13th in DVOA (https://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/qb/2019), though he was sixth in PFF’s grading (https://grades.pff.com/#/ratings/positions/show/QB). In the regular season, Rodgers was below the NFL’s average in yards per attempt (7.0) and completion percentage (62.0), and was exactly average in touchdown percentage (4.6)...

To be clear: Rodgers is not a bad quarterback, and the Packers are not a bad team. But Rodgers, once the cream of the QB crop, is now somewhere on the fringes of the league’s top 10.

I for one have NEVER said he's bad.

My biggest issues is how the media and some fans will point to the piss poor defense, or he's got no running game, or his coach sucks, or no receivers.
Then when they win you get those same dickheads that say 'Rodgers doesn't need a defense'. Well which is it? you can't talk out of both sides of your mouths

Yesterday was fucking amazing though.
Rodgers was horrible, and then the 49ers allowed him to pad his stats in the 2nd half being up 27-0 BWA HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Rodgers is one of the best QBs out there. Their team and he, himself, have had some inconsistent and bad play. They were not a second seed type team.

Pretty much my issue as well.

How about the 14-2 2019 Ravens?

Talk about overhyped...

Imagine how quickly they would have lost in the playoffs if Tomlin was their coach.

By halftime, for sure.

Did you see Rodgers after that first fumble when the ball was slapped out of his hand? He didn't even try to jump on the ball. It was almost a Cam Newton moment for me. There was no effort on his part at all to get to his fumble in the NFC Championship game with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line.

Not a good look or Mr. Discount Doublecheck. A reaction like that doesn't inspire teammates...….or anyone else for that matter.

I live up in Toronto, Canada in an Igloo (I say that because it's Canuck joke on how we make fun of 'Mericans kinda like how you guys say we always say 'EH?' lol)

Anyway on my way into work the sports morning show has on Ross Tucker
when asked about the packers/49ers game he says if he didn't fumble or throw that pick they'd be in the game and overall he played pretty well in the 2nd half.

ummm what?
the game was over at the half being 27-0
then it was ICED with 4:49 left in the 3rd when the 9ers went up 34-7
but by racking up those GARBAGE time yards he played well...okay there bud keep thinking that...

That comment is why I will continually say Rodgers is so grossly overrated it's disgusting. Not one single person in the media wavers on his 'god' like status nor is it within their vocabulary to say he played like a big pile of cow dung.
It's gone too far.
I joke with friends who have no reply but if Rodgers had done half the stuff Ben has to this point Rodgers wouldn't have to wait to get into the HOF he'd be the first guy in the HOF while playing.
If Rodgers made 'THE TACKLE' well its dubbed that and also it would be 'LEGENDARY'
THE PASS in XLIII also would be 'LEGENDARY'
any of the 3 500 yard games specifically the Colts one with the 6TDs would be probably considered the greatest game played by a QB
I can go on but you get the point...

The AFC is the home team.

As I understand it, in order to wear “all white” (no gold pants) they have to request permission (they cannot randomly choose to alter their “base” uniform).

I hope that the Chiefs wear their all-red color-rush uniforms.

Not me, I'm a traditionalist. I actually don't like when a team wears all one color.

I'm the same but some teams have some pretty rad looking color rush unis.

NFL apparently figures it can buck rake by selling the regular jerseys with a Super Bowl patch on the shoulder and does not need to market throwback unis on Super Sunday

The 49ers will wear their traditional road uniforms for Super Bowl LIV despite their reported desire to don the team's all-white 1994 throwback jerseys.

Had a feeling they'd get bounced. They carried themselves with a degree of overconfidence, and that usually always backfires in the postseason.

Running QB's tend to do well in the regular season, but in the postseason? Well we never seen Michael Vick, Tim Tebow, Kordell Stewart, or RG3 in the Super Bowl. Being mobile is a big advantage for a QB, but you gotta be able to make NFL throws when facing teams deep in the playoffs. While players like Lamar Jackson are entertaining to watch, give me a player like Russell Wilson or Steve Young every time.
