Buccaneers Poem (09/26/10)

Our Steelers went south down to Tampa Bay
To meet the Buccaneers on another hot day
Before the game started we were 2 and 0
We were about to watch our offense put on a show
Points had been at a premium in the games until now
And all you can say about our defense is WOW
It started off shaky - we had a scare
Charlie’s first pass was picked off in mid air
All they managed was a field goal kick
Pretty soon the Bucs fans would be sick
The interception was forgotten and gone
As the time ticked away, the rout was on
4 offensive touchdowns - our victory pretty much sealed
Our big nasty defense was all over the field
Speaking of the defense - Freeman got picked off by Keisel
79 yards to the house - running on diesel
The Bucs managed a touchdown too little too late
Their score was 13 - ours was 38
Now it is Ravens week and that’s like a curse word to us
The Ratbirds make us want to yell, scream, and cuss
I write these poems weekly and try to do it with class
We may not have Ben but we’re still kicking ass
So bring it on Ravens - bring on the war
You’re next on our list for win # 4
