I think Duck should get the start. Let's see how he rebounds from a bad week under center. At this point in the season you almost have to ride him the rest of the way, no?

I think he should get the same chance as Rudolph did to bounce back. If he craps the bed in the first half then replace him, which I hope doesn't happen, it'd say we have mental midgets as both of our backup QBs

Tomlin - Pouncey’s snaps from center have been erratic for years but now you finally are noticing :chuckle:

Pouncey's been rated below 50 this year on PFF, that's like backup level bad. Definitely not earning that elite money. The running game actually looked better with Finney at C
I know some people don't believe in PFF, but when it comes to rating linemen they're pretty spot on.

Might be a bad blood matchup. Bell pissed off a lot of the players last year, who may want to drive home that "You F***ed up" message home to him

Wouldn't be surprised if next season is Pouncey's last, he's really not been getting it done this year.

TE is more of a pressing need. Of course... the Steelers don't usually draft for a need.

Either works. OL is getting long in the tooth, having a solid to elite TE will be a big help to our new QB (Don't see Ben around longer than 2 more years)

The Steelers coach was asked Tuesday at his weekly news conference about his relationship with Bell, who spent his first five seasons with the Steelers prior to his holdout.
“I have none,” Tomlin said. “I don’t communicate with him. He’s a New York Jet.”

I'm confident they'll beat the Jets. They been good about handling the bad teams this year, just not up to the challenge of the better teams

Combination of talent and lack of experience. I think more so the latter, I think the group of WR / RBs can be good next year with a year under their belt. I think we need to start looking into drafting some OL as well.

I agree, I think Juju and Vance would have been enough to maybe beat Buffalo. Next season we will hopefully be off the injury bug wagon.

Yeah I grew up in the Philly area and watched lots of baseball/football at Veterans giant bowl stadium. I once sat at the top of the stadium as far up as you could go in right field. The baseball was hit and I'm was like, "WHY ISN'T THE LEFT FIELDER RUNNING FOR THAT?" Then the right fielder caught it! :)

When I attended games at MetLife, sitting half way up, I found myself watching the Jumbotron more than the field.
Finally realized... I’ve got a better seat at home.
Parking price is obscene, getting in and especially out, is a nightmare.

Which summarizes the quandry of buying season tickets in the nosebleed section for the game experience throughout the season or buying seats (club level at Heinz if you want to splurge) one or perhaps a few times a season on StubHub to catch a game live while watching the rest of the games at home.
IMO 65,000 and up seat stadiums are dinosaurs for even successful teams, let alone the constantly struggling franchises in Arizona and Florida.

I don't think I'd lump Arizona in with Jacksonville. I think their stadium seats 64,000 and for the past 10 years their average attendance is usually 61-64K, with mostly losing teams. There's a lot of cheerleader type fans in Arizona - meaning they might not know anyone's name on the offensive line, but they'll show up to a game and cheer (unless of course, the Steelers are in town).

It's awful nice of them to leave a few seats for the good guys when our team is in town. :sofunny:

Juju and Conner will get the offense moving. Defense will make life tough on Darnold, I think the Steelers come fired up - tomlins got them motivated this year
20-7, maybe the jets get a late second td (20-14) to make it look closer than it was

In 2011, I sat in the “nosebleeds” in Arizona. I’d sit there every game if I could. (It’s a great stadium.)
Conversely, at Qualcomm, unless you bring binoculars, watching from anywhere above press level is a complete waste of money.
