Has anyone heard anything on whether or not he will return this season? Imo, if he returned he could really benefit the defense. He was playing the best football of his career before his injury. Definitely an upgrade over Kelly and probably brings as much to the table as Edmunds.

I sure hope not.

Since the linked article includes him telling the Post-Gazette he is still recovering from the torn labrum your hopes apparently will be fulfilled.

Tomlin clearly has moved on and after three sketchy seasons Davis is not going to risk his minimal free agency prospects by coming back with physical limitations to put more mediocre play on tape.

He's a 3rd type of safety. As a starter he missed too many tackles and made few plays on the ball.

I had hopes for him after his rookie season. He regressed and we moved on. He's done in Pittsburgh.

The difference between him and Fitzpatrick was a bottom feeding pass defense that got torched regularly and helped waste the best year of a FHOF 2-time Super Bowl champion QB and a top tier play making defense that's winning with backups seeing their first ever live game action
