It was a big mistake for the Steelers, especially since the Steelers had not won anything with him despite his stats

I believe with his live facebook, it would have been the time to say that it's enough with Brown ... I mean, even before Brown becomes a star in 2013 ... in the 2012 training camp, if his reports are true, Polamalu and LeBeau was very upset with Brown's behavior ... it came out today and I'm sure there are other stories about Brown doing it and we do not know yet

With all this, I can not believe that the Steelers have not traded Brown after all his incidents ... I do not care about his stats if the team does not win enough and that this players is a horrible teammate(like Terrell owens with just one playoffs win in his last 12 years and he did not play in the first 2 playoffs games of his team in 2004 when his teams has been in the super bowl) ... As I have discussed with you in the past it's not even hate for the Raiders it's your coach who I can't stand. He is the one who brought all of these "second chance guys" to your team. To me this is why they are getting what they deserve. Also as I have stated in the past the whole questionable character thing didn't work in Cincy and they stuck with it for years trying to make it work. They too were supposed to be a force in the AFCN. I truly believe that Burfect and Incognito were brought in as much for putting butts in seats as anything else, but I think AB is different. I don't think they had a clue that he would be this bad this early. I know I didn't, I thought it would take him a few games before the honeymoon was over.

The Steelers got production out of him, also they drafted him while the Raiders traded for him knowing fully what he did in Pittsburgh and thinking they can change him. It's like the girl who gets married to the guy with the idea that she can change him. It rarely works out.

Can suspend him max 4 games for misconduct under the CBA - instead they fined him

Several weeks ago during Helmetgate when he was not reporting to camp there was discussion about sending him the "five day letter" - under the CBA if AB received that letter and did not report in 5 days he could have be put on the "reserve/left squad" list and be ineligible for the entire season.

Not certain if they can still do that during the season if AB does not show up Monday night.

I think the Raiders figured out that he was uncontrollable, made the public overture of showing they tried to smooth things over and then hit him with the fines knowing he'd flake. It made it easy for them to release him. I think they realized it was already a lost cause so might as well save the money.
