Living in Maryland for all but three years in Delaware, I have always noticed the plethora of Steelers flags, decals, license plate frames, etc. You know...”those people”. In June, my wife and I relocated from 25 miles NE of Baltimore to Houston, TX. So now, we are officially one of “those people” lol.
I will say that I have seen Steelers stuff here, but not as much as other places I’ve visited. You see a lot in Florida for sure. And quite a bit in Arizona. I guess SE Texas is not a place many Steelers fans move to.
Good thing is now games come on at noon and 3:00. And night games end earlier.
Due to the move, I’ve barely had time to keep track of the Ravens through OTa’s, training camp and the preseason (no preseason games on the NFL Sunday Ticket!), let alone what the division is doing. Yeah, I know all about the AB nonsense, but what’s the Steelers outlook for 2019? I’m sure JuJu will be a standout. What about the rest of the receiving corps? And how’s the running game looking this year?

Good Luck with the move!! And may the Ravens look as bad in Texas as they did in Maryland!! ;)

Maryland to SE Texas? Culture shock, anyone? :chuckle:
Did you move for work, Crow?
I honestly haven't been paying much attention to preseason this year myself.

SE Texas....Texans, Cowboys, and Saints fans. You can sell your snow plow but you may want to invest in some waders. The up to the chest kind. Seafood will not be 'as good' but the chili will be better. ;)

Welcome to Texas Crow...No state taxes!!!
Get rid of the cold weather gear you won't need it in Houston. Now the heat is another story especially in Houston the humidity is killer. You are just in time for the brunt of the heat in August. Traffic in Houston sucks seems there is always an accident...even at 4am.
Nice thing about being in Houston you will be able to see the Ravens when they come to town.
I'm sure if you need to get your Steeler fan fix there is a bar or 2 in Houston, if not come to San Antonio.
Good to hear from you again and I hope you enjoy your stay here in Texas.

Could be worse.
I knew a Ravens fan who moved to Indianapolis.
Awkward.

I think that would be more fun. Just wear around the Ravens SB apparel and any Mayflower Moving gear you can find.
All the best on the move to Houston Crow...

All you need to know about the preseason is the Browns have already won the SB

Yes, for work. It was too good a deal to pass up.

Sold my snowplow and shovels and divested myself of a lot of cold weather gear! The house we bought is not in a flood zone, nor was flooded during Harvey, but many around here did. For $400.00 and change, I got flood insurance anyway.
I just went to Lowe’s for water hoses for the new kitchen faucet. 1/4 mile down the road was a roadkill hog. That’s not a normal sighting back in MD!

No state income tax is about a $8K/year raise. That’s welcome. The humidity? It may hang around longer than in Maryland, but the Baltimore area gets humid and no breeze. I think it’s actually worse there than here. But the inground pool will help with that!
The traffic is heavy. The EZ Tag helps with that!

Congrats! BTW, Galveston is a pretty cool place to visit.

Congrats on the change and the move. I'm jealous; I just visited Texas over the last Christmas break and it was beautiful.
As for the Steelers' state, I'm cautiously optimistic. I'm pretty sure we're not going to miss AB, and we seem to have picked up some powerful weapons... assuming they perform in real games, not just the preseason.

Haven’t made it there yet. Next weekend our oldest daughter is visiting for the first time and they want to go to Waco. If you have to ask why, you don’t have a spouse who binge watches HGTV lol.

Best of luck with the new location Crow. I'm sure there will be a big adjustment, but you'll be fine.
My wife and I travel a bit, and there is a strong Steelers presence nearly everywhere. Arizona is a place we frequent, and you're right.....that town is loaded with Steelers love.
I wish you all the best personally, and nothing but the worst for your football team! :flap:
