It's been almost 20 years since I watched sports and I do not remember seeing a surprising news (whether this is the NFL or other sport)like the Andrew Luck's retirement yesterday

What is your most surprising news that you've heard in the NFL since you watch football?

OJ was pretty crazy on a whole ‘nother level.

Dexter Manley...he was a mess.

Barry Sanders, Megatron, Luck retiring were all pretty shockingly surprising...Luck probably the least of the three.

ABs fall from grace is pretty crazy.

Barry Sanders was still the most shocking I remember. It went down before CTE, the massive internet coverage of today, and Sanders wasn't really that broken down. It kinda came out of nowhere.

But I might be remembering it wrong.

Sanders was also at only 1500 yards to break the all-time rushing yards by Walton Payton.

Rae Carruth. Talk about flushing one's life down the toilet. And then there was Aaron Hernandez.

I realize that nouveau riche men in their 20s are prone to doing some really stupid things, but stone cold murder?

Speaking of the Lions in the early 70s they had a player die on the field from a heart attack. That was pretty shocking as well

Probably when Tagliabue announced that the Browns were leaving Cleveland.
