UPDATE: Adam Schefter of ESPN is now reporting that Haden suffered what is being described as “a minor ankle” injury and that it looks like a major injury averted.

fwiw, Brian Allen is listed next on the depth chart behind Haden at the LCB position.

Sutton is the primary backup at NB and the starter at Dime back. With Hilton playing some at the safety positions, I foresee Sutton getting a lot of field time (and, possibly even leapfrogging Hilton).

Whereas, Allen is a boundary CB.

They need to find a role for Sutton. Or Sutton needs to play well enough to force them to find a role for him. Something. He was drafted high enough and showed well enough in college, that something needs to give.

Sutton has a very good training camo right now ... I hope he will continue during the games ... I think he'll be the next man up for the Steelers if the steelers have a injuries in the secondary and it's never a bad thing when a team have depth in a position ...

It's a good thing he didn't have to 'suffer' for very long.

Sutton is coming... and not because Hilton is slacking.

For the first time in a long time, the secondary might not be a shit-show (maybe even... “good”).

I think that might be the case ... Sometimes a unit just needs a credible coach at this position to be able to take the next step .... We'll see if that's going to be the case for this secondary with Austin but our O-line took the next step when the steelers got Munchak in 2014.

Man I hope so. The secondary seems like it's been patched with duct tape ever since Ike retired.

With the modern NFL rules, I don't ever expect them to get back to the blitzburgh days where they held passers under 200 yards, but I'd like to see them start forcing some turnovers.
