Carson Wentz and the Eagles agreed to a four-year extension through 2024, the team announced Thursday.

I have to confess I don't understand the QB market at all anymore. There aren't really any comparisons or competitive analysis or logical standards at all, just "If you're any good at all, your contact has to break the all-time record." Which broke the old all-time record that was set 2 months ago.

Like, I thought EVERYONE couldn't all be that desperate at once or else people would stop being desperate.

If only a team could pay it’s QB in other ways that never hit the cap. Maybe the QB could start a business called TB12 and say it is a system for pro athletes. Then the organization could become a ‘client’ (to make sure all their players have access) and pay, just to keep it easy numbers, ‘$100M’ that the QB can keep most of while the rest goes to make some phony product. If only something like that could happen. But Roger and ‘The Shield’ would never allow that to happen. Would they?
