TAMPA, Fla. — Steelers coach Mike Tomlin calls it taking the top off the defense.
On the Steelers, no one does that better than Mike Wallace.

Wallace got behind Tampa Bay's defense twice Sunday to catch long touchdown passes from Charlie Batch in the Steelers' 38-13 win at Raymond James Stadium.

"We were missing Mike Wallace over the top," free safety Ryan Clark said. "We haven't had him in a couple of weeks." For Wallace, it was hopefully the start of something big...........

He played great . Great concentration on the TD catch of the tipped pass in the endzone .

Remember how we spent about five years waiting around because Nate Washington was supposed to have the "potential" to do this? Wallace does the same thing, except he actually gets open and catches the ball. Amazing what a difference that makes.

batch needs to buy wallace a dinner. those passes were not good, but wallace made something out of it. the last one was basically a lucky deflection, but i'll take it
