Football gave up on him. Well maybe he could have played somewhere for another season, but the NFL was out of the question.

I still think this is one of the great retirement press conferences in history.

I literally misread the title as "Joe Frasier retires." I thought to myself, "about time!" (Especially since he passed away in 2011).
