With the selection of Devin Bush with the No. 10 overall selection in the draft Thursday night, the Steelers addressed their glaring defensive weakness. Even though they traded away their second-round pick to the Broncos as part of the compensation to obtain Bush the Steelers still have two more picks Friday night to fill some other holes on their roster.

And general manager Kevin Colbert is hell bent on using them. Colbert said Thursday night that he would not have made the trade to get Bush unless he kept two picks on Day 2 of the draft.

“There are a lot of good players still available,” Colbert said.

The Steelers own the No. 66 pick and the No. 84 pick – both third-round selections. The No. 66 pick was part of the compensation for the Antonio Brown trade. That trade allowed the Steelers to make the Bush trade.

I love that the Steelers clearly have a plan with this draft and executed round 1 perfectly. If they have a player they want tonight I will support whatever they feel they need to do to make it so. I agree with what Herbie said last night, (Paraphrasing but...)This offseason has pissed the Steelers off, all the talk about the Browns has pissed the Steelers off, questioning the Tomlin/Colbert culture has pissed the Steelers off, missing out on the playoffs has pissed the Steelers off.
