From a reliable source (98.5 Boston), according to a reliable source, the Steelers will open on Sunday Night against the Patriots. This should be confirmed shortly, tonight, by the NFL.

Steelers game at Jets allegedly in week 16

https://nypost.com/2019/04/17/2019-jets-schedule-complete-regular-season-slate/amp/

By that point LeVeon may already be done for the year due to injury

Hopefully Ben won't need 6 games to warm up. He needs to play more in the preseason.

Steelers@49ers allegedly Week 3.

After two road games to open the season, the 49ers will play their home opener at Levi’s Stadium against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sept. 22, the source said

Wow no more Thursday Night openers, guess the NFL figures it will get better ratings on a Sunday night opener.

NFL dumped defending champ opening at home Thursday night for some reason this year

Bears-Packers will be the Thursday night opener (allegedly something to do with 100th season of NFL)

Yeah, two west coast games, @Pats, and a game against Seattle all before the BYE. That's going to be brutal.

Seriously, whose idea was it to put Steelers-Dolphins on Monday Night Football? Does a prime time audience really want to see the Steelers slop, stumble, and come out woefully unprepared against one of the worst teams in the NFL in the Dolphins?

Steelers/Jets would be a great MNF game.

No, not really. There is one interesting storyline with Smokey Luther King Jr playing against his former team, but it's not a good game football wise

if the steelers can go .500 the first half of the season they have a chance at the division

Agreed Steelers-Dolphins is a mediocre game that has no business being anywhere other than a Sunday 1 pm slot

The Ringer agrees :chuckle:

October 28: Worst Prime-Time Matchup—Dolphins at Steelers
These two teams played the worst NFL game of the 21st century on Monday Night Football in 2007, when Pittsburgh beat Miami 3-0 on a field so drenched that punts ended with the football wedged into the turf (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7DTNEa2E7w). This game likely won’t be that bad, but, well, it might evoke some of those memories. The Dolphins are in prime contention to be the worst team in football. They have 250-to-1 odds to win the Super Bowl (http://www.vegasinsider.com/nfl/odds/futures/)(no other team has lower than 150-to-1) and 40-to-1 odds to win the AFC East (the next worst odds for a division winner are the Arizona Cardinals with 25-to-1). The Steelers lost their most interesting stars in Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell, but they still have the talent to destroy Miami. The only ones watching this will be people either living in Pittsburgh or needing James Conner to win their fantasy football matchups. There’s a reason the league chose the worst MNF matchup of the year for when the World Series will be in full swing.

Steelers get their usual 5 night games.

But NFL hedging its bets with last night game being week 11 against Browns in the event Steelers are terrible next season. NFL wants to avoid having a potentially crap Steelers team in a Thursday or Monday night game that cannot be flexed for a better game after Thanksgiving if by that point it is clear the Steelers are not a playoff contender

Then let me rephrase. Steelers/Jets would be a great MNF game, IMO.

Usually when the "orchids" bloom is when Bobby Kraftgate has his happy endings.
