Criticisms of Roethlisberger’s leadership, fanned by the flames of mis-placed words made by general manager Kevin Colbert, grew as a result of this saga. Perhaps in an effort to make peace with his teammates and show the fans that he’s serious about being the most supportive teammate possible, Roethlisberger is reportedly willing to end his weekly radio show.

Good news if true - his Tuesday morning ramblings over the years, on topics including but not limited to the Denver loss and possible retirement, often stirred the pot for no good reason

RIP Radio Ben:wave:

Who needs a radio show when you are already the show?

I'd prefer Ben do all his talking with his right arm this year! That radio show was a complete disaster.

He wants better relationships with his teammates.... I do think he should do a country album like Bradshaw.

Ben should dedicate more time to watching film and learning how to be a better leader like Peyton.

The show must go on.

I heard the show producer didnt run a good mixing board, so the old board operator will be released and a new one drafted. This way the same great insight as before, will be provided by Ben on a weekly basis.

Not really. It was never anything more than a convenient excuse for AB to tear away at to get out of his contract. Ben could have been a choir boy last season and AB was still go on his torch all the bridges on the way out exit strategy. It's like the whole Colbert "kid" thing. Since the AB debacle ended I wish I had a dime every time I've heard someone on television reference a pro athlete with the term kid. Be it basketball, hockey, baseball, or football. It's just thrown out there without thought often by some of the same talking heads that have been blowing smoke up AB's ass and killing the Steelers. The whole thing was a present day Drew Rosenhaus re-orchestration of sit up's in the driveway.

That all said, I think it's probably good that Ben gave up the radio show. It became a thing because of the bullshit. And it really didn't aid the Steelers cause particularly.

Can't wait to see what other almost totally unrelated reasons the media comes up with this year to explain football results without resorting to talking about football.

I suspect it will be something about how Austin/Bradley/Butler all don't get along and Tomlin just lets them run amok. Either that or Juju wasn't ready for leadership role and spends too much time focused on social media.
