I'm going to watch the Combine very closely this year, especially the WRs, DBs and LBers:

I heard Robert Craft already has a date.

Colbert is supposed to bring Ben, but only if they can find a sitter for the kids.

Steelers Scout Explains Combine Interview Process

By Alex Kozora
Posted on February 26, 2019

There’s so much more to the annual NFL Combine than the 40 yard dash or L drill. For players and teams, that’s only a small snippet of the process. There’s medical testing, psychological testing, and the all-important interview, where coaches and GMs might be talking to players – especially underclassmen – for the first time.

Steelers.com had a really interesting interview with Pro/College scout Dave Petett, a longtime member of the organization who usually doesn’t get much airtime. Missi Matthews asked specifically about the interview process.

“The interview sessions are about 10 minutes each for a formal interview,” Petett told Matthews. “Each team has a room in the hotel and the player comes into the room and you have everybody from coaches, coordinators, scouting, GM, scouting directors, Mr. Rooney sits in on some of those, and just kinda go through everything. From their history with the player, get a background. If you have questions about something, you have that opportunity to ask them directly and fill-in the blanks.”

The Steelers have drafted several players with whom they have had meetings (during The Combine).

Plus, at The Combine, many trades are”set up” (which come to fruition on the first day of free agency). The “flies on the walls” should keep tabs of with whom Tomlin & Colbert converse.

Steelers meet with ILB Devin White during 2019 NFL Combine

By BRYAN DEARDO

Devin White, the top rated inside linebacker in this year's NFL Draft, met with the Pittsburgh Steelers during the 2019 NFL Combine, Joe Rutter of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review has reported. The Steelers also met with Alabama inside linebacker Mack Wilson on Saturday, as Pittsburgh is clearly making drafting an inside linebacker during the early rounds of this year's draft a high priority.

Adding 3 players on defense could change the entire world for this team. Must add a CB, must add an ILB, and must upgrade at either Safety or OLB. FA or draft, this can be a huge offseason for this defense.

The offense needs to add more playmakers too. Almost always draft a WR. Would like to get another TE. I think we need another RB to compliment Conner and Samuels. Whether that is a 'Kamara' type or a 'Bettis' type I haven't decided yet.
