Antonio Brown has done a masterful job of making himself public enemy No. 1 around these parts, and it almost seems like he is relishing it. There is no question he has been a selfish player and at times has been a distraction.

He is the one of the best receivers in the NFL and yet there is now a growing school of thought that trading him away will solve many of the Steelers’ problems — that once he and his sideshow are gone, everything will go back to normal.

That is 100 percent nonsense.

Rooney needs to think if he wants to remain a legitimate NFL owner. The fans deserve better than what is being played on the field. Consistently underachieving is not how its done by the Steelers historically in the Super Bowl era. If he cannot make the hard decisions then he needs to think about the next owner who will.

But Randy Moss did. Michael Irvin did. Plaxico Burress did. Andre Rison did.

They all carried the baggage that AB carries...some worse. They all win Super Bowls.

Talent and Super Bowls have more of a correlation than baggage and Super Bowls. “Baggage” is not really an argument that stands up. There’s plenty of awesome players that never won or sniffed a Super Bowl with no baggage. There’s plenty of talented players with baggage that have lost Super Bowls. There’s plenty of talented players with baggage that won Super Bowls. Christ there’s even players that have baggage and left their Super Bowl team...right before the game...lol.

Sanders didn't, but James has been a drama queen everywhere he's played, and is known for trying to play GM starting from his Cleveland days. And drama or no drama, the Lions were going 4-12 without Sanders no matter how you cut it.

That's kind of the point: Brown's drama isn't costing us games. Just like the Shaq-Kobe drama wasn't costing the Lakers games. Shaq left and then nobody was winning shit. In hindsight, I bet everyone wishes they'd not done it that way.

One other thing that really pisses me off about this is, if we trade Brown, whoever ends up with him is getting him for two-thirds his cost for the next 3 seasons, because we paid his signing bonus. And they also get the most team-friendly, no-strings-attached contract with an easy out at any time, because we paid the signing bonus and ate the dead money already.

Fuck doing that. Let him sit on the bench if he's that much of a jackass.
