We’ve heard plenty about Antonio Brown since the 2018 season ended. But we’ve heard very little from AB himself. That changed a bit today. On Instagram Live, Brown said he would soon address his critics.

1084077669443141634 I actually was in my car yesterday and heard Merril Hoge say this. He is pretty disgusted.

On a side note and topic for another thread, Hoge has written a book called "Brainwashed". I will make another thread about this because his view point is very interesting and I'm sure will spark a lot of discussion.

Exactly, but then it would all be over and we wouldn't get to see him again, and we all know it's all about HIM, HIM, HIM! He wants his fans waiting with bated breath.

If we actually do hear about his "negative speculations about my (his) character," it will probably be something stupid like, "Big Ben is a big poopy head."

Every time he tweets or instagrams he cost the Steelers trade value with his selfishness, idiocy, and glaring lack of character. If I'm a coach or GM , as talented as he is I don't want him on my team. If I'm that desperate for a playmaker I call Kareem Hunt and give him a second chance. I think the odds that bringing AB onto your squad blows up in your face is greater than what it would be with Hunt who as far as we know has had the good sense not to do anything stupid since November.

You guys who think that GMs wouldn’t want to have arguably the best WR in football on their team are drinking the kool-aid. Most GMs will factor in the entire circus-like culture of the Steelers (Le’veon, Harrison, Ben, AB, etc.) and believe that their environment will be perfect for him.

If you don't have an established and secure coach and an entrenched franchise caliber qb you'd be a fool to touch him. He would eat a locker room alive if he doesn't think he's getting his. People think this all started this year. It didn't. All the talking heads, particularly the black ones are all blaming it almost exclusively on Ben because some of his comments and showing 'disrespect' to AB on the practice field. This jackass has been showing up Ben, and the offensive coaching staff for years. He's sulked in playoff games. He's sulked through multiple wins. It's all about him. He gets his numbers it's all good. If the team wins better yet I suppose. But if he's not getting his he's oblivious to end results. I guess Ben finally had enough of this clown showing him up and for the first time gave some push back and worse yet commended his fellow receiver Ju Ju. And the asshole melted down in classic fashion.

So no I'm not taking on this egotistical jerk unless I got Rodgers or Brady taking snaps. Someone not scared to put it right back in his face. Of course AB will probably behave better next year. But it wont last. Because something will offend him. Perhaps even his skills will begin to erode? And when it comes back it will be bigger and worse than ever.

Bruce Arians spent Antonio Brown (http://www.nfl.com/player/antoniobrown/2508061/profile)'s first two NFL seasons as offensive coordinator of the Pittsburgh Steelers (http://www.nfl.com/teams/pittsburghsteelers/profile?team=PIT), but the new Tampa Bay Buccaneers (http://www.nfl.com/teams/tampabaybuccaneers/profile?team=TB) head coach doesn't see the same player he remembers.
"There's too much miscommunication, too much ... diva," Arians said Tuesday on The Adam Schefter Podcast, via ESPN (http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/25772147/ex-steelers-oc-bruce-arians-says-antonio-brown-same-player-pittsburgh-drafted). Is AB dumb enough to think he shouldn't be criticized for quitting on his team and showing up for half of game in mink coat. The guy makes 22 million a year and is acting like he is the one getting screwed. This whole thing is making me hate Bell less and less. Both of these guys deserve to go to the Raiders or the Bengals. They would be begging to come back. Whats next, is Ben going to talk about retiring.

There is a schooling system in one middle eastern country that I do know of, where at the end of each school year the students are given a comprehensive test of what they should have learned that year. Pass and move on to the next grade or fail and repeat the last year. Either/Or, no excuses or exceptions. Real life consequences starting at an elementary level. How the fabric of the universe would unravel if this were done in the U.S.!

There is so much to be learned from Finland’s school system.

Without any additional cost, here are four “Finnish” changes that would immediately improve our schools:

1. No standardized tests.
2. Start school later in the day.
3. Start school at a later age.
4. Reduce homework.

Someone apparently told him to try to calm down the fans by posting he is not mad at us.

Wide receiver Antonio Brown (http://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/13934/antonio-brown) thanked Pittsburgh Steelers (http://www.espn.com/nfl/team/_/name/pit/pittsburgh-steelers) fans in an Instagram post Saturday but stressed his message wasn't "a goodbye."

In a post accompanying a video of fans at Heinz Field chanting "MVP" as he is being helped off the field with an injury, Brown wrote: "One thing I understand about this fan base and that I'll never forget and always appreciate is your passion. Know that it's all love this way and I am forever thankful for #steelernation ! (this is not a goodbye, just a thank u)."

He aint gonna get a ring playing with the Texans. Have him come here so the Watt brothers can terrorize the NFL :chuckle:

Agree about just that 4 year stretch being HoF worthy. The dude seriously looks like someone out of a super soldier program, like the real life captain america or something. Normal humans aren't built like that lol

He may get a ring as a Texan, he just needs a better head coach

That's not his official account. That's a fake one.

Antonio Brown met with sports broadcaster/writer Bill Simmons earlier this week. Brown also alluded to a podcast that will feature himself and Simmons. Brown has yet to fully elaborate on what happened between himself and the Steelers at the end of the 2018 season.

Simmons is a huge Pats fan with a large following who has trashed both Tomlin and Ben repeatedly over the years. If this podcast with AB goes forward it could be make an awful situation even worse.

Simmons is the type of guy who would write an article just so that he could read it and amuse himself with his own witticisms.
