Devin White has an inexplicably high ceiling, but a bottomless floor as well.

"Amazing raw athlete, needs polish and coaching to succeed at the pro level."

How many times have we been down this road, and how does it usually turn out for us?

Was just going to say the same thing.

“Amazing raw athlete” is like nothing more than saying “Good Luck” or he can run fast but probably can’t play football.

He goes in Round 2 to the Steelers. Just the right kind of player Tomlin likes, but cannot coach.

pretty bad evaluation IMO , making the entire story trash ..

but to each their own

as a side note , their are no finished products in the draft and if you think you found one .... avoid him because he no longer has room for growth ( they all need developed just some more than others )

This would be okay, if the Steelers had halfway decent coaching outside of Munchak. They do not. I think Devin White will be a decent/good player, just not with the Steelers.

If he comes to Pittsburgh, he will be the next Artie Burns.

Devin White is a stud. The kid has tons of physical talent, and he shows the football smarts to be able to utilize that talent at the college level. Those that don't think he can turn into a good player by this coaching staff are off base.

If he's there when they pick, they almost have to take him. He's that good.

There are still some things to look into. We need to know more about his character and how he acts when interviewed at the combine. It's the only thing that can hurt him because he is everything you want at the LB position.

And he looks good riding a horse!

Believe it or not, the ride was actually related to a class White is taking. He gave a presentation on how to properly saddle a horse and then decided to take it for a spin.

Hopefully Dallas, Indy or Denver will not trade up to draft him.

I want a polished product, at least the upper end of what a polished product would coming into the NFL. The whole extremely raw, needs coaching is not working out. Problem is at pick 20, the type of athlete the Steelers are clamoring for will mostly likely be extremely raw when pick 20 comes around

I read somewhere that something like 3/4 of the DBs playing in the Pro Bowl and their alternates this year were available with the 20th pick in the first round when they were selected.
