After Monday night’s game that makes nine national champions thus far this decade:
Where does this year's Clemson's team rank this decade?
For your reference info here are the national champions for the past decade with who Alabama beat to help with keeping those years/teams straight (at least it does for me):
2010 Auburn
2011 Alabama beat LSU
2012 Alabama beat Notre Dame
2013 Florida State
2014 Ohio State
2015 Alabama beat Clemson
2016 Clemson
2017 Alabama beat Georgia
2018 Clemson
Some other very good teams from the decade:
Alabama 2018 lost to Clemson
Alabama 2016 lost to Clemson
Clemson 2015 lost to Alabama
Auburn 2013 lost to Florida State
TCU 2014
LSU 2011 lost to Alabama

The best.

All year we were told by game commentators that Bama was the best team they've ever seen and Clemson gave them a beating, while also going 15-0, the first team to do so since Penn in 1897.

The clear cut best team (even clear cut over 2013 Florida State). I'd also argue Clemson is at minimum a top 5 team all time. 2 games decided by less than 20 points, one was Clemson beating a ranked Texas A&M team on the road with their 2nd best QB and the other was Clemson beating ranked Syracuse with their 3rd string QB. First team to go 15-0 since the 19th century and to boot dominated the best team of the greatest dynasty in college football history.

Their regular season wasn't all that impressive but their playoff domination puts them in the discussion. Definitely for the decade, but I'd still stick with the Miami teams all-time.
