You must realize all of those talking heads watch a lot of tape, right..it’s their job.
They saw and identified what many of us have seen regarding coaching deficiencies.
Cowher emphasized how difficult it is to get your team up for games they should win....hmmm...a problem in these parts.

It was over when Brees convered the 3rd and 20 and Juju fumbled. I've already accepted the end of the season was today. What was funny is that the bums thought Cleveland would've done anything. They blow. Just as we do.

Making the playoffs would've done absolutely no good. There are just way too many problems with this team from the top on down, and making the playoffs would've masked the issues. The holes were there since the Jacksonville defeat, but since they made the playoffs, no changes were made, and now we're seeing the crash.

You could just as easily argue the coach didn’t have a good plan in those games, that our superior talent team should have won easily. Players make mistakes, but a whole team being complete screw ups sounds like a bigger problem.

That's blaming the loss of an entire game on one play against teams we should have HANDILY beaten. THAT is on Tomlin because the games should have never been that close. Did the players screw up on those plays..sure. At that point in the game they shouldn't have even been in that position. This team is never prepared to play subpar teams and it is shown in games like that.

It's not blaming the loss on one play. It's showing that there are many factors that ultimately decide the outcome of a game.

Everyone thinks that firing Tomlin is going to get this team over the hump and to the promised land. There is no evidence this is true, it is just speculation. Nobody wants to admit that this team could actually be WORSE with another coach.

The Lions fired their coach and brought in Patricia. They got worse and some already want him gone. The Browns fired Jackson and they got better.

There is ZERO EVIDENCE this team will improve with another head coach because getting worse is just as possible as getting better.

I can agree with all of that there are lousy coaches out there getting jobs, but what this team really seems to need is a shake up, a slap in the face to wake the F up. They seem lazy and unprepared more than half the time. Cowher lost this team in much the same way, Tomlin came in and slapped them in the face woke them up, turned out pretty well.
