Paywalled linked story in The Athletic says Flacco injured his hip last Sunday on the sixth play from scrimmage when Tuitt hit him.
No drama at all. Bench Flacco and move forward.

Now they will get the chance to see how bad Lamar Jackson really is... He'll dazzle you then make you want to jab your eyeball. He has no feel for the passing game.

Kind of like a certain Steelers Quarterback from the 90's.

This could be the best thing to happen to this team in like 3 years. Flacco is dead weight. While I have no idea how successful Lamar Jackson will be, better to see what that looks like now than after the 2019 draft.

How he put together the greatest postseason passer rating ever by a NFL QB shows how random sports can be (Nick Foles is #2 :sofunny: )
During the team’s Super Bowl XLVII run after the 2012 season, Flacco completed 73 of 126 passes for 1,140 yards, 11 touchdowns and no interceptions, producing a 117.2 passer rating — the highest ever for a postseason since 1970, the year the AFL and NFL merged.
Using a more modern version of passer rating such as adjusted yards per attempt (https://www.pro-football-reference.com/about/glossary.htm) — a stat introduced in a book called “The Hidden Game of Football” by Bob Carroll, Pete Palmer and John Thorn that gives a bonus for touchdowns thrown and penalties for interceptions — shows an even bigger disparity between Flacco and the field.

And the Ravens have been paying for it ever since.
