At 52-14 right now with 11 minutes left in this game, it's not too early to give the game ball!

My game ball is Roethlisberger in offense with 5 TD and 3 incompletion and a perfect QB rating!

In defense, the pressure on Newton was unbelievable!

Game ball goes to the whole team. Dominant performance like that? Superb job. For good measure, 2 game balls to Ben and the front 7

Nice turnaround from 1-2-1 and the AFCN basement.

Game ball to Tomlin. The entire team brought it after a really good road win against the Ravens on a short week.

Give credit where its due. Ben was profoundly superb tonight. No if's, and's, or but's about it.

I'm with '76 giving the GB to Tomlin for turning this ship around after 1-2-1 and looking quite horrid.

Fantastic team victory and destruction of a very good Panthers team.

Second week in a row that I give it to the entire team (minus Burns) and coaches.
All units contributed and played winning football. Third down conversions were amazing.
Good win after the big road win in Baltimore.
The way the game started it looked like a letdown game but boy did they respond.

If this version of the Steelers keeps going, we have just as good a chance as anyone to take it all.

This is the Steelers team I really though we had preseason

Of course I thought we’d have Bell. I couldn’t have predicted that it wouldn’t affect my prediction. :)

I have often said in the past, but when our offense is healthy and Roethlisberger is not rusty, only Todd Haley who could stop our offense.

If we win the Super Bowl I think I’ll give season game ball to Mike Munchak.

I’ve never seen a Steelers O line this good. They make Conner great, they help make Ben great, they make our possession time great... they are the key to a great team.

Me too. Actually, this is what I think they've been capable of for a couple of years now, and with Haley gone, the offense is finally reaching its true potential. Hope they can sustain it and the defense continue to improve.

With how they've been playing the past few weeks, this is as good as a Steeler team I've ever seen. They remind me of the 2010 Packers, just playing all around solid football. If they stay healthy this team can be really special.

Of course 52 points help but the steelers are over 30 PPG for the first time(maybe ever)this late of the season. The steelers score at least 30 points 5 times in 9 games(0 time in the first 9 games last year)and one other game was at 28 points.

We went to the Moose to watch tonight's game. I wanted to stay in, but the hubs insisted. Boy, am I glad he did. Good eats, drinks, friends, and magnificent football by our beloved Steelers. I had such a good time. Tonight's game was as perfect as one could be. Good job all around.

My game ball goes to everyone, even Burns. He got us our only penalty in the game, but he tried. It was an epic fail, but he tried.

Special Game Ball: Coaches. That was the most complete team effort I have seen since the Steelers beat the undefeated Eagles and Patriots back-to-back with 42 and 43 minutes of ball-possession.
Honorable Mention: Dupree. I have no idea how or why, but it seems like someone has flipped the lightswitch for him. Great to see. Better late than never. At this point, he's well on his way to earning that option the Steelers exercised on him for next yea.

Goat: Refs. I love Vance's TD, but it should have been overturned. Also, that first down later in the game was a real stretch (at this point, I think the refs were just trying to get the game over with as well).

Great game for Ben and, the whole offense o-line has been great very impressive. Tomlin as well like FS76 mentioned what a turn around cracks me after the 1-2-1 start media calling our Steelers team turmoil? LOL Then Boz makes every kick even a 50 yard FG. Pretty impressive from the Ben & the offense on a short week and, the pressure the defense was able to make Cam have a rough night great to see and, the pick six was sweet.

I will gladly acknowledge it. I was close to being in the “bust” camp.
But, he has definitely elevated his overall level of play.
You notice him more, he’s around the ball more, he’s playing with more intensity, and he’s making plays.
Here’s the disclaimer, he must play this way down the stretch with no disappearing acts.

I also concur. Swapping Watt and Dupree has elevated Dupree's game and he's starting to settle in. I think Dupree hadn't shone as the strip sack monster OLB we've become accustomed to in Pittsburgh, but even then he was productive in less flashy ways. Now he's starting to get home.

Dupree is playing better and using his hands to get the OT off him better. He isn't beating all pro LT's or anything, but he is getting QB pressures, causing pressure, holding calls and getting to the QB. Its far from Deebo and Woodley in their prime, but both Watt and Dupree are better than what its been the past few seasons. He had a good game and kudos to you for admitting it.

Remember when some people weren’t sure if Ben had the stats be a HOF QB?

Is there anyone (who is taken seriously, I mean) that still believe’s Ben isn’t a first round HOFer?

In recent years, when Roethlisberger has a slow start in his season, several media like Stephen Smith say that Roethlisberger is not the same player, etc .... but every year, he always has a very good season!

If he avoids injury, he will still have some very good years ahead of him!

I remember the years after Bradshaw retired until we got Ben pretty tough to watch at the QB spot. I agree. A lot of fans have been used to 15 years of great QB play for the Steelers with Ben as a franchise QB. Enjoy it. They haven't seen the Stoudt, Malone, Woodley, Graham, Tomczak, etc type of play. Thankfully, I think Rudolph looks like they may not have to endure that in the way many fans did in the 80's.

Unstoppable Performer

Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers

Thursday night might have been Roethlisberger's best game of his career.

This is no hyperbole. Consider this, from the fine folks at NFL Research: Roethlisberger is now only the second player in NFL history to have at least 300 passing yards and five touchdowns with three or fewer incompletions in a game. The only other QB to do so? NFL Network's own Kurt Warner, owner of a Gold Jacket.

To be exact, Roethlisberger finished 22 of 25 for 328 yards, five touchdowns and a perfect passer rating in a 52-21 rout of the Carolina Panthers. Each of his five scores went to different targets. Roethlisberger carved up the Panthers in stunning fashion while the Steelers posted their best and most complete win of the season in front of a national audience.

Perhaps they felt as if they were going overlooked? Maybe they wanted to send former minority owner David Tepper (now owner of the Panthers) a proper parting gift? Or maybe everything just came together at once.

Regardless, it was a statement win, led by the play of Roethlisberger on one of the best nights of his illustrious career.
