a few flashbacks for fun
Apparently the Steelers have decided to sign Boswell. WTF? This guys sucks! He had <74% success on his FGs in college.
Not true - 76.1%. (64.7, 81, 79.3% in three years at rice). He has punting experience too...lol. Not looking forward to this experiment.
In other news, kicking problems not solved.
Can't we find somebody from the CFL or Arena League?
You're not going to get a PK worth a damn 1/4 into a season. The best you can do is try to get the guy who sucks the least out of the available options.
Many of you got your wish. Scobee is gone and replaced by a less accurate kicker with no game experience. Haha.
Went from bad to worse is my fear.
funny how perception changes :)
again not picking on anyone here just having a bit of flashback fun

oops here was mine hahah sorry guys
looked at his bio from Rice and its a pretty solid bio , has a good percentage if touchbacks on kickoffs and Rice went for a ton of long kicks in which he ranked tops in the nation at hitting .
that being said the other guys brought in where not of very high quality , the Redskins old kicker has had kicks blocked and missed extra points as well so lets wait and see

Signed him long term at a price appropriate for one of the 2 best kickers in the league

Scobee trade disaster was worth it. Without it, no Boswell.

42, 33, and 45 nice. I think I’ll keep him.

I’m just hoping we’re using him for a lot more extra points and a lot fewer FGs this year.
Boz has Haley to thank for this contract. If we’d scored TDs with greater consistency anywhere near the red zone last year, Boz wouldn’t have had so many opportunities to be impressive

I have to say I was skeptical about the signing to say the least, based not only on his college percentage but our own track record finding a lot of special-teams bums. But man, has that guy ever exceeded expectations.

The man is money. Worth a couple of close games at least.

He's not the first man that feels the pressure after he gets paid. Let's hope he figures it out soon.

Maybe he's not giving 100% on his kicks so he can save his body. When we offer him 17M a year, he'll make the kicks like a boss, pay the man!

He wants paid like a FG kicker AND a kickoff guy. Two jobs = two salaries!
