That's the problem down here in Tampa. They definitely were looking for a scape goat and they made Lefty that scape goat. They don't think he could handle the team and worse they didn't use Lefty that benefits the team - rolling him out of the pocket.

It would be nothing more enjoyable than to watch Lefty take over the team and destroy the scubs.

The Steelers may have three healthy quarterbacks on their roster at some point this season.

It won't be in the near future.

Dennis Dixon, who started the first two games, sustained a cartilage tear in his left knee against the Titans and could be sidelined for at least the next couple of weeks, according to NFL sources. Dixon may have surgery on the knee this week, the sources said.

Running is Dixon's strength so as much as I don't like B.A. I won't knock him on that call. Our offense needs a spark so to me it was one of the better calls of the game, offensively.

Dixon doesn't have an NFL body. Remember in the 2009 preseason the Steeers tried to gift the 2nd string job to Dennis and he got hurt in the first preseason game. People complain about Batch's durability, this kid isn't any better, and doesn't have the intangibles to play qb at the NFL level anyway. I think the Steelers need to try a new tact when it comes to their back up qb in the future. Instead of wasting a late round draft pick every two or three years on a player like dixon they should go get someone with NFL starter experience who was always on bad teams, thus never had a chance. Trent Edwards or Bruce Gradkowski would be guy's I'd be targeting this coming offseason.

Yes I did and that is why I don't fault him for that call. It is what Dennis brings to the game and how he is most effective. It sucks that he got hurt but he could have gotten just as hurt in the pocket passing the ball. I will never bash the man for something I wanted him to do in the 1st place. Good call at long last.

If he keeps this up I may have to change my stance. LOL

I think Dixons future as a starter in this league is in question. I have serious doubts that he could survive a full NFL season. I thought after watching him at camp 2 years ago that from the waist down he is built like Manute Bol. I guess time will tell. I think Batch gets the start and Lefty backs up this week.

I'd love gradwoski, always liked the guy. He should be the raiders starter, but we all know Al could let him go

i've seen enough of dixon and batch to know they can't muscle a single drive. i would love to see leftwich have a shot this week if hes healthy enough.
