That's a surprise! :chuckle:

Now, let's hope he can play this Sunday.

Ok. This has to mean Hampton "will" play Sunday. That's why they did it in the first place, no.

Obvious move is obvious.

Sorry if these questions were already answered elsewhere, but is Leftwich ready to start this week and any word on Dixon's injury and how long he will be sidelined?

Tomlin said that Dixon could have finished the game...but he is scheduled to have a MRI today...no results posted as of yet.

Thanks for the update, LLT. I hadn't heard anything. I'm supposing no starter has been named for this week yet?

Steelers re-sign Leftwich, release McLendon

As expected, the Steelers re-signed veteran quarterback Byron Leftwich to their active roster today after releasing him this past Saturday.

To clear room for Leftwich, who missed the first two games with a left knee injury, the Steelers released defensive tackle Steve McLendon, who was signed from their practice squad to replace the injured Casey Hampton. McLendon had a fumble recovery and a tackle in the 19-11 victory over Tennessee Sunday.

McLendon must first clear waivers before he can be re-signed to the practice squad.

Hopefully Dixon can go this weekend.... Actually I just hope that one of them can go.... Batch played well but I was just so nervous every time he dropped back...

At this point I don't care who starts, but I want to see the oline intact. Only that way whoever starts will be successful

If not we're gonna see a lot of what we saw yesterday on offense

Figured this was going to happen. At least we have another QB... I mean we could play ARE. :chuckle:
