Leighton Vander Esch. Jessie Bates. The “sleepers” – Mason Rudolph and Derrius Guice. Those are the names you’ve heard kicked around for the Pittsburgh Steelers at pick 28. And with good reason. All are possible.
But are those the only options for the Steelers? Of course not. Here are three players possibly on the Steelers’ radar we haven’t talked nearly enough about yet.

With the 2nd guy, 40 time means nothing but with the 3rd guy it means a lot. With the 2nd guy it's all about the bend but with the 3rd guy, no mention of the bend. Thus the cautionary tales of framing a prospect!

I'm feeling OLB, just like last year. :chuckle:

Lorenzo Carter just seems like a guy the Steelers would look at and go " Hey, a new Lawrence Timmons, that'd be cool!". Kick him inside in the pros and let him play off-ball with some movement and blitzes. Timmons made a decade + career out of it.

James Farrior made the same move (after languishing at OLB for four seasons).

Ronnie Harrison: No thank you, they need a free range cover free safety. Harrison is a guy with serious cover limitations (Minkah Fitzpatrick reportedly moved to FS due to Harrison's coverage issues) and he leads with his shoulder too much (just like Mike Mitchell did)

Sam Hubbard: Would like the pick, good bend and good motor

Lorenzo Carter: All indication is it's a round too early and it's highly likely he's there at 60
