I like Lorenzo Carter... but, not at 28.

As an edge Carter has 9.5 sacks over his last 2 seasons. I'm still a little gun shy on Ga OLBs.

The Steelers need another 3-4 OLB. Bud Dupree just isn't getting the job done and behind him all you have is Chickillo who is plenty good at getting tossed around like a rag doll and Keion Adams, an unknown 7th rounder who may not have the size or frame to not get tossed around himself. They need another guy preferably not a "raw but athletic guy" that Joey Porter won't develop. As for Carter, 28 seems too soon

If we’re going to go for an OLB... Harold Landry

OLB is one position that if we take it in Round 1, I will probably kick a dog, or at least a cat if there's no dog available.

We have one good OLB and we've shown that getting pressure is not the problem. ILB is a critical need, and we need to replace a star RB within the next two years and a star QB in the next 3-4 and this draft may be a rare opportunity to do so without sacrificing multiple first-round picks.

I don't mind if we take a shot at an OLB in rounds 3-4 or something, but it's a much less urgent situation.

Knowing the way these things work, after saying that, Watt will probably be hurt in Week 1 and we'll immediately have garbage for a pass rush.

I wouldn't hate this pick.

Best case you have a 1st round talent edge rusher to fit into your pass rush rotation.
Worst case you have Lawrence Timmons 2.0.

I really thing Carter could play almost any LB position in a 3-4 fairly well. I actually suspect he might be better inside...

I was having the same thought when it came to Carter. Glad I'm not the only one thinking of that.

Steelers need to subcontract their LB picks. Maybe swap a WR for a LB? They just cannot pick them very well lately.
