Mostly for reasons that weren’t helpful to the team. After the mess of taking a shot at JuJu Smith-Schuster, requesting a trade, and getting suspended for a game by the team, there’s light at the end of the tunnel. Not only has Bryant played much better to round out the year but now, he says he wants to remain a Steeler.

Fine with me. He's stayed clean all year and did what was required of him. Had an issue with the team that for all intents and purposes, should have derailed him. It didn't. Sign him to a short-term contract (2 years?) with lots of bonuses and risers if he performs.

I legit think getting deactivated for the Lions game knocked some sense into him especially considering I didn't hear any drama coming from him afterwards.

I think his agent sat him down and talked to him. He plays his last year with us, improves to pre-suspension and the Steelers make the SB then his value skyrockets. He needs to not be a locker room cancer for a year and play better, pretty easy for a big second contract.
